Are you friends with any of them?

Me personally, no. Mostly because of trust issues and I wouldnt want anything from my personal life to be spread around the office.

I have done so a couple of times. I generally like to keep work and life separate but if someone offers up a good idea, I don't mind obliging if I can tolerate them.

Sometimes, but I keep it in check. There was a period where they were hanging out every other weekend or so and I had to put my foot down and say no repeatedly. And when they do the whole "Oh c'mon!" act if I turn down drinking or hanging out, that's a sign that I need to say no even more. But every once in awhile I'll join.

I am friendly with a few of my coworkers beyond the level necessary for work. I don't hang out with any of them outside of work hours though.

We all take work home pretty regularly and that includes a lot of visit to each others homes, so we do end up having a meal together or hanging out a bit, probably once a week. I've gotten somewhat friendly with a couple of people but they're not anyone I would keep in touch with when we move on from this job.

Not really, I seem to be in a weird age gap where I'm either a generation to old or generation to young. I get along with them all though

Yes. I have been at my job 27 years and a couple of guys worked with this entire time. Knew them well, had similar backgrounds we shared like being in the Navy and I watched their kids grow up and give them grandchildren. We are fairly close. It is hard not to become really friendly when you spend more time with that person than your own family over the course of almost three decades.

I get along with all of my coworkers but most of them I don't do stuff with outside of work but a handful I do and like 3 of them have become honestly best friends.

Like I understand there are a lot of people out there that don't like mixing their personal life and their work life but to me that has just never made sense. Like when I was in school my school classmates were the majority of my best friends outside of school. When I started working part time in high school at a burger joint I started hanging out with that group of friends as well as my school friends.

When I was in the Navy all my friends were my Navy buddies from my ship. And after almost 30 years at this job a handful of my best friends are from here. Like to me it is weird to be someone who doesn't get to be friends with someone from work.

Fairly often. I've even had my boss over (among others) for a movie night once.

I used to have a pretty cynical view about befriending coworkers, but later decided that there's no sense in pushing away people I legitimately connect with, just because we happened to become acquainted through work.

I use to but not anymore. I have numerous groups I've made friends with over the gears at past jobs who are great people but I made a decision a few years ago to stop. I got to much going on in my life to be overly friendly at work, now days I clock in and out i don't socialize to much at work.

Talk / message a lot, but spending time with them nah I can't be caught dead with them in public.

I used to... Most of them have moved on to different jobs and the older you get the weirder it feels to make new friends.

Only at work when we should be working. But I don't really hang out with anyone offline these days.

My last job, almost weekly at five on Thursday we all went to the bar/club together and got wasted, and it was game to see who came in hung over on Friday.

Current job, I've never socialized with anyone outside of regular office events that require it.

Only one former coworker on a regular basis. Some former coworkers a few times a year.

Outside of that, my last job was just after work events or lunches. I'm gonna keep it that way in the future.

My roommate is my coworker and mentor. So yes, we hang out.

Otherwise? Absolutely not. I did just transfer stores though and there are several people here I would hang out with

Yes, maybe once a month or every couple of months. I definitely always feel awkward, like I'm doing it to maintain positive relationships at work but I usually end up just sitting there and having a drink or two.

Yeah some of best friends I have made as an adult are coworkers.

I got a coworker at my last job into D&D, so we ended up hanging out a fair bit but I haven't seen him since I left that job.

I have recently started hanging out with 1. It's taking some adjusting to get used to. But I've become friends with 1, and she started a roleplaying group and invited me. So I've been going and playing with them.
