Also, when do you think the games in this series will get Switch 2 games? Not including Mario Kart/DK/Pokemon/3D Metroid since they all have games announced/released, though I do expect Pokemon gen X to be next November or so.

3D Mario next fall/holiday.

The rest will all come in 2027 or later.

Probably 3D Mario, but I could see another Ring Fit being announced in early 2026 for a summer release. They wouldn't need much of a build up for that one. Kirbies and 2D Zeldas also tend to just pop up out of nowhere too, so outside chance of one of those.

Smash 6 isn't even in any real production yet. We're at least a couple of years from the next Smash.

I think Zelda will come out closer to when the movie drops, so that will be a while. I have no idea what Ring Fit even is.

We'll get our core Mario game first, then we'll get an Animal Crossing and a Kirby game around the same time.

Ring Fit Adventure is the Switch's biggest new franchise. It's a 15+ million seller, so there's no doubt they'll want to make another one.

I'm surprised at all the 3D Mario votes, if Bananza was the usual Mario team then surely a new one will be a few years off? Or have they put another team on it?

I dunno what I'd vote. Maybe Luigi next October, that one's had the longest gap since its last entry.

Ring Fit isnt compatible with Switch 2 so they will likely want to get a new one out the door that is

It's not even going to start pre-production until Sakurai is done with Air Ride 2.

I would say so. They are pretty substantially different, and I believe they are different IPs.

I think Nintendo considers "Wii ___" to be a series.

Out of all of these, Animal Crossing would be the one I'd be least surprised to learn is cooking as we speak

They're going to release a trilogy of Luigi's Mansion games on the switch before any further first party games

3D Mario with more votes than Luigi's Mansion is pretty crazy to me, considering the state of both teams.

Animal Crossing is the type of game they'd want to hype up well in advance, so I think if one was currently aimed at a 2026 release, we would've seen it in this Direct.

I guess most of them have tended to release in the fall, so a January/February Direct reveal for November release still isn't out of the question.
