a while back I used to have a youtube account named bnuigorillaz and I was somewhat proud that I had all of the music videos (at the time) in 720p, as there wasn't an official channel at the time. I had scraped through a bunch of places and was tired of seeing only 360p or worse. I had finally tracked down nice quality video and synced it to full quality audio.

When the release of Plastic Beach came, I had actually been contacted by their team and was thanked for being a fan and asked if I wanted to monetize the videos on my channel and share revenue with them, but I would be asked to become a community manager and do some work for them. At the time with my job there was no way id be able to do so, so I told them I would delete my channel and would rather see all of their music videos on the official one. It was funny seeing their response saying it was a shame to delete the videos on my channel since they had so many views, but they were thankful that I was willing to do so. I told them I would have all my videos link to the new official account and was sent the album as a thank you, posting a partial track of Superfast Jellyfish early and having the description say "The official Gorillaz account is here! To listen to the full track, it is available on their channel!"
