I had to ask google wtf it was because MSI didn't bother explaining it in the manual.

it seems about the same size as my old card, which never had a problem with sagging in 5 years afaik

Probably, I use one in my 4070 but I think it's bigger than the 50

I dont use one but my motherboard is laid flat in the case so any GPU or pci-e thing is standing upright

I've never been good at using chopsticks

i can't learn to use em myself, some things easier to learn than other things.

assembling a utility cart wheel (moderate challenge). chopsticks are impossible.

I only know how to put utility carts together when they have fully assembled wheels

the bearings and stuff is beyond my expertise

i've "only" got a 4090 but there was a bar or something that attached to the motherboard/case at the end to hold it up. GPU sag is apparently real i guess

nah use it these cards are bit more heavy and you might ending breaking your motherboards PCI line if something knocks on your case so better to place that to avoid a possible issue
btw how much did you snag this gpu for tc. did you get a good deal on it

I did some googling and apparently it does happen

it wouldn't really surprise me, the connectors on the mobo always seem pretty flimsy. I was worried I was going to break it in half just getting the gpu seated properly because it felt loose after the first push

the odds aren't zero tho it's possible the guy took out his gpu by using too much force but i still see this happening with how heavy a gpu is tho in this instead of the motherboard it was the gpu pci lane that got chipped

oh, and a bonus for the GPU replacement!

I found out that my 3rd SSD connector was hidden under the old graphics card, so now I can add another 1-2TB of storage space too >_>

Hmmmm

Well I ahve a 5070, maybe i should consider this. I suppose I'd hate to fry a 1300 rig just because i was too stubborn to buy a 5 part.
