Did you also think of this song because of the new Continue? episode

Or was that just me

Oh guess not

They were talking about it in their newest episode that released a couple days ago so the timing seemed perfect lol

I think "Adam's Song" is enduring because the theme of loss is something that most people can understand, and for those of us who experienced it earlier in life, having a "fun" band put out something more poignant was definitely a moment that resonated.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

It's funny how quite a bit of that had universal appeal.

Also, I haven't watched the video in a couple of years but I remember it well as it was a favorite back when it was on MTV. I never really thought on it before but they're one of those acts that has "grown up on film" throughout their history. I think they first hit big around 97 or so and popped out a couple of videos and they released that "we're glad Tom and Travis aren't dead" song/video a year or two ago. I often hear people mention actors aging before our very eyes but I suppose very successful musicians do the same. It's certainly not a new thought given how many 50 year-old acts are still going, but it hits a bit different when the group first hit big by selling records to targeted at your age group.

On a side note, I wonder if any of Travis' tattoos from back then are still visible, as he's now fully inked.
