There was always a chance that Charlie Kirk's killer was going to be on the left, or at least more associated with the left. While the left certainly contributes to less violence overall, it isn't an impossibility.

And while it is absolutely not acceptable, I get how the shooter gets to this point. Charlie Kirk frequently called for the elimination of queer people and he did it to an audience of millions. If you are already unwell enough to consider murdering someone, it's not a stretch to think that Kirk is a direct threat to himself or people he cares about and killing him is effectively self-defense.

It's just a terribly sad situation that is going to result in a lot more people getting hurt.
