Trumble 09/17/25 7:02:25 AM #1:	Context: "Pooping" refers to the pieces of waste produced when switching colors during a multi-color print (or possibly just when loading filament). I've got a Flashforge AD5X, which is mostly a great printer but has a very annoying quirk where it blatantly ignores any settings you set for how much to poop and just does what it wants instead. Well, there's a mod that basically lets you fully customize anything the printer does; I've had it installed for a while but was only using it for better camera streaming and remote control. But today I decided to try and rewrite the color switch routines so that no poop is produced during mid-print color changes, and it just flushes everything into a "purge tower" instead. (The purge tower part is a standard thing that 3D print software can do; it's just usually useless on the AD5X because of the aforementioned pooping quirk.) I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get it working, but it actually works really well.
