keyblader1985 posted... Otto Octavius was very different from the comics too, but nobody complained about that. In fact I'd bet that movie was partly what inspired his gradual redemption in the comics. Also, I think a lot of it has to do with how much people just hate Topher Grace as a person. Salrite posted... On its own, that sounds fine. But is that supposed to be who Eddie Brock is? I don't know, I don't read the comics. In the comics Eddie Brock is a dumb but still "good" bully character. He basically exists just to troll spider-man. He's convinced that spider-man is evil, so he thinks he's helping people. The brock actor was perfect, but there wasn't a good venom in the movie. Movies weren't invented yet when I was a kid. Also, I can't think of any really old movies where I've reversed my opinion on it. Although nothing is quite how I remember it. keyblader1985 posted... Bio-Dome. Thought it was hilarious as a kid; tried to watch it recently and couldn't get past the first ten minutes. It was the 90s, tbh. Snoregasm posted... Nightmare before Christmas is mid at best You take that back! ParanoidObsessive posted... I can't really think of any movies per se, but I do know the original He-Man cartoon was something I really enjoyed as a kid, but then looking back on it now as an adult you realize just how bad it was. Especially when you compare it to some contemporary cartoons that aged much better, like GI Joe, Real Ghostbusters, or even the later Batman: The Animated Series. Shows that were so well-written you can still kind of enjoy them as an adult, rather than just rolling your eyes and asking "How the hell did I watch this crap as a kid?" ParanoidObsessive posted... Shows that were so well-written you can still kind of enjoy them as an adult, rather than just rolling your eyes and asking "How the hell did I watch this crap as a kid?" I feel like anything pre-Justice League tends to show its age a lot more. The editing in particular on Batman: The Animated Series is absurdly choppy and the transitions between scenes feel abrupt at times. It's kinda comparable to the Superman cartoons from the 40s, albeit the pacing isn't quite that bad. Given that cartoons have changed so much over time, it's probably less a matter of your childhood and more just what you've come to expect from animation. Notwithstanding that early He-Man and Transformers were extremely cut-rate because they were cartoons created to promote existing toylines and often done on even more of a shoe-string budget (leading to some of the questionable VA work in MotU, especially the Sorceress). Both improved over time, though. MotU to New Adventures was a massive leap in quality, although New Adventures was quirky. bachewychomp posted... honestly most of them. even the good stuff like jurassic park can be nitpicked to death at this point. i've learned to love in spite of flaws though. i'm also gonna stand by the rankin and bass hobbit cartoon, specifically because the artwork was amazing. that shit was gorgeous. i will happily sit through a shitty animated movie if the artstyle is unique or badass. all the CGI stuff looks the same now. weird bean mouths. --- http://i.imgur.com/ElACjJD.gifv "Most of the time, I have a whole lot more sperm inside me than most women do." - adjl ...
