apparently Christians on TikTok are losing their minds thinking the Apocalypse will begin on Tuesday and all the Christians will get floated up to heaven. Even though the concept of the rapture was invented in the 1800s amd is found nowhere in the Bible

I just heard about this. The Christians are getting all excited. I wonder how they will feel on Wednesday

Anyway, its been a while I think since a good rapture prediction. Last one I remember was over a decade ago.

What's the theory behind the prediction?

Also, they don't get to vote us into this fascist nightmare, then just nope out into the sky

I haven't heard that, just that on the 24th we should listen to and believe absolutely nothing we hear

I think it has something to do with some "red heifers" that were shipped to Israel from Texas. I believe some rabbis then sacrificed them. Which doesn't make sense. Judiasm abolished animal sacrifice i thought. But I remember hearing about red heifers being some sign of the end times and some Christian rancher raising some and giving them to Israel

in reality life could be catastrophically affected in any certain time between August and December

The biblical idea of the end times is supposed to be that all people have to go through the bad stuff that happens. Nobody gets a free ticket into heaven to skip everything. But in the 1800s, some people started coming up with this new idea about people floating up into the sky before the world gets bad. I think people want to believe in the rapture so they aren't scared of the End Times. If you are Christian, then part of the belief is the world gets really scary for 7 years. But its comforting if you think that you will get to dodge all that and get rescued by Jesus right before the bad stuff happens

I almost want the rapture to be real, just to see the looks of horror on their moronic faces when they see that only three people are getting saved.

This is like the fifth or sixth time (in my lifetime) that I can remember these silly people getting excited for this nonsense. Then when it doesn't happen, they all just go quiet about it until the next one.

The funniest thing is that the Bible explicitly states that we won't know when the end times will be coming, so even if you believed in rapture nonsense you should by connection also believe that all predictions are bogus, too.

It's actually really fucked up. My wife is a teacher and she told me her damn 3rd grader came to school on Friday and was really scared and nervous bc her parents told her Tuesday was the end of the world.

How absolutely damaged is that kid gonna be living in that household?

Seems like an easy CPS call.

I don't know what I'd say to the kid, though. "Don't be scared, we'll laugh about it on Wednesday."? Even that would probably lead to all sorts of hell from the "parents".

...y'know, aside from potentially losing loved ones (but they'd literally be going to paradise to kneel before god forever... which I think is what they want) all of the christians suddenly leaving would probably make at least America (probably the whole world honestly) a much better place.

I'm not worried about a possible actual rapture. However, after seeing this one video that was a crazy ass tangent tying 9/11 as a mass sacrifice to this new world order of trying to summon the Roman god Saturn to rule the world and the pentagon/capital building being a portal.

I really wouldn't put it past them trying some bullshit to accelerate the end.

Or maybe the constant predictions are a way to stall the end of the world. We can't not know when it's coming if someone is always thinking it's coming after all! lol

But on a different note I love when these theories take the Internet by storm, it's always fun to see the hoops people jump through to believe this is really it for real this time.

He actually got Raptured to an alternative universe where literally every other human except him got Raptured.

Which I guess is technically an isekai, but the Rapture itself is arguably an isekai.

Like someone mentioned a teacher having a student who is freaked out cause of their parents telling them the world is ending. Then what if the parents go nuts and think Jesus made a mistake so they "help things along " and do a murder suicide of their family
