Apparently they have 3 seasons planned. Each season is ultimately based on 1 of 3 incidents in Derry history. Season 2 will be in the 30s and the 3rd season will be in the early 1900s. 1908 I think.

We aren't referring to the incidents in the books, right? Unless we're pushing dates forward since the book took place in the 60s, right? Or was it the 70s? Sometimes I forget...

Its based on the altered timeline of the remake movies. Since in part 1 it was in the 80s instead of the 50s

I know but there were actual events in the book and I thought it was referring to that, but I suppose it doesn't matter since it looks like it's a prequel to the movies rather than the book.

right, I was just wondering if this was based on blips of information from the book or if they were just winging it with new stories.

The only Derry television show I care about watching is if they make another season of Derry Girls, thank you very much

depends how you define it, things in Derry (and pre-derry) are shown in the books. Some are even experienced as theres way more mystical stuff in the books (like smoke visions)

Looks cool. I'll check it out, I liked both the previous IT chapter movies. Don't really care for the Tim Curry one much.

That makes more sense.

I thought they just decided to split the second movie into two parts, Hobbit Potter style.
