My wife doesn't know or appreciate anything about gaming and she's like "whatever" but i'm like "omg celebrity dude". Guy is really down to earth too. I had so many questions but didn't want to bug him lol

A $140 board game seems insane to me. It better be a good fucking game.

It is a damn good game, but understand that it is competing with stuff like Dungeons & Dragons, not with stuff like Dominion. If you and your friends are willing to meet regularly and play through a campaign, Gloomhaven is great. But if you just have a game shelf so that there's something to do when you have friends over, then it is not worth $140 to put Gloomhaven on that shelf.

(If the concept intrigues you and the price tag does not, I would suggest looking for Jaws of the Lion, which is what got me into Gloomhaven. I think it's like $50 for a physical edition, or less than half of that on Steam.)

Gloomhaven pretty much revolutionized Dungeon Crawler board games and what you can do with the medium. It's that good. The only downside is the clean up and set up time, which the digital version does a good job of doing it for you.

Yes our kids go to the same programs lol. I only ever talked to his wife before this weekend and had never actually met him before. His family is really awesome.

That's so cool, the only other board game creator I got to meet in person one time was Jamey Stegmaier, but that was at a literal meet and greet and I only had like 15 seconds to say anything to him before he signed some of my board games instruction booklet lol.

I have both Gloomhaven and Frosthaven digital, so I hope to get to go back to playing them. Don't have that much free time to playing it now that I have my second child.
