I'm the opposite. I eat salads with no dressing, and they're delicious. I like them with cucumbers, onions, shredded carrots and peppers. If they're available, I'll add on sesame seeds and shredded cheese, but they're certainly not mandatory.

Ribs aren't worth the effort it takes to eat them.

White chocolate is real chocolate.

Vanilla is the best ice cream flavour. Chocolate is the worst.

American food is a LOT better than people give it credit for. I went to a few places in Florida that I always see Americans talking down on, and they shit all over their nearest equivalent British chain restaurants.

Also high fructose corn syrup soda > cane sugar soda. That stuff is like nectar.

I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter. I like plenty of foods that aren't chocolate. I dunno why this one food has to be chocolate for me to be allowed to like it.

I eat salads that are raw spinach, sliced pepperoncinis, and Parmesan cheese. The pepperoncini juice is the closest I get to dressing.

Salads almost always have ingredients other than vegetables unless youre talking about those sad side salads that American diners give you. This would be like saying no one likes sandwiches but then limiting your definition of sandwiches to peanut butter and jelly.

Speaking of peanut butter and jelly, grape jelly PB&Js aren't all that great. I never liked PB&J until I tried it with strawberry jam.

Terrible example. It be more accurate to say "ppl dont like coffee, they just like sugar and creme." Which, I'd argue is true for vast majority of coffee drinkers.

Fixing your example would result in, someone claiming they love bread, but then listing a bunch sandwiches and bread pudding as the only time they would even consider eating bread.

Chocolate chip cookies are all right.

This isn't unpopular at all. If you hangout with a group of people and eat wings you will get torn to shreds if you don't pick the bones clean, sorta like how you'd get torn to shreds if you don't eat the crust on your pizza but you keep on going back for more.

It works as a substitute for almost anything you use lettuce for tbh. Like instead of putting lettuce on a burger, put spinach instead.

Most "luxury" foods arent good and people delude themselves into thinking they are try justify the over-inflated cost.

Think oysters, lobster, caviar, truffle infused stuff etc.

Going to a restaurant to eat isn't an enjoyable experience. Its loud, service can be hit or miss, some places pressure you to get in and out asap. Getting take away (restaurants still do this) and having it at home is much better.

I LOVE the taste of oysters and lobster (haven't tried caviar or truffles).

This I agree with and I hate sitting around in a restaurant with people who always seem to want to be there much more than I do.

A good veggie pizza stomps a good meat pizza. But mediocre pizzas, not so much.

Ketchup is the only thing that should go on hot dogs.

Steak on its own is boring. Its just a cut of meat that tastes too watery with all the juices.

It needs sauces, dips or vinaigrettes to pep it up.

I won't even stand for you calling them spaghetti in order to agree with me.

Sushi is highly overrated. It's served with a bunch of condiments because it's not very good and the flavor has to be masked.

Yeah nah, oysters is legit.

Oyster po-boys is one of the most delicious sandwiches you can possibly make.

Since I am talking about oysters I think my topic subject related post that can be considered unpopular is when I say fried oysters is vastly superior to just eating them raw. (Something that famous chefs and whatnot would almost always say is the preferred way to eat them).

When it comes to seafood there is very few things better than a big-ass plate or box full of fried oysters, fried shrimp, cooked in a old bay type seasoning, some french fries/fried mushrooms w. blue cheese dip/crab bites, some good coleslaw, and a big-ass cup of lemonade. *Yeah, the vast majority of these sorts of dinners as fried which is why its not something you eat constantly. You just have to splurge every now and then.*

I absolutely love fried oysters and fried calamari.

EDIT: I actually have a pic of some fried oysters I was eating like earlier this year. Just a plate of'em with some string beans and a bit of onion gravy (I'm not a fan of beef liver itself, but my family absolutely throws down on the gravy in general) over rice I had to the side.

Man ill probably get a oyster dinner today since I keep talking about it lol. I grew up in the south/south carolina so I am all about my fried seafood and things like fish fries and crab/seafood boils.

I also agree with this one. As with all places, you just have to be selective about where you eat.

Dude I honestly have no idea what truffle is. I've eaten truffle fries plenty of times and have no idea what the big deal is.

Some other unpopular food opinions I have:

-Steak done medium is better than medium rare

-McDonald's has better coffee than Starbucks

-The list of desserts that is better than McDonald's soft-serve is a small one indeed

-The breakfast at McDonald's is better than the breakfast you'd get at most diners

You know how some people like the idea that eating spicy food makes them badass? This is the only explanation for the popularity of 90+% cocoa chocolate. The stuff is total garbage, but people are convinced it's chocolatier than other chocolate, so convincing themselves they like it makes them a more extreme chocolate fan.

Anyway, everyone is going to deny it, because as I mentioned above, they are lying to themselves.

Feels like anyone with the opposite opinion clearly hasn't eaten at either of them recently.

Utensils are overrated and most food can be eaten with just your hands.

Vegetables and condiments dont belong on a burger.

Mac n cheese (boxed Kraft variety) mixed with canned tuna is the best mac n cheese.

Eggs are gross. Breakfast in general is a huge disappointment. I only really like pancakes, toast, homefries and bacon if its burnt to a crisp.

-Watermelon is overrated
-Bakery pizza is fine, but clearly inferior to restaurant pizza the vast majority of times. I think people just like the novelty of getting pizza from a bakery
-The earlier post reminded me Chef Boyardee spaghetti and meatballs straight out of the can is some how a lot better than it really should be
