I love vegetables, seeds, and nuts, but I'm not a huge fan of most fruit. I'd say I eat healthy. I just drink like a fish.

This. Breakfast and lunch are usually healthy, but dinner often throws it in disarray.

I do but admittedly it is partially because of a health condition that made me completely give up eating out in 2017 and have multiple things I need to avoid. I always cooked a lot but now I cook every single meal from my kitchen and made fresh. Nothing pre-made like a frozen dinner or some meal out of a can. No microwave stuff.

I use my stove every day and generally stick to a meat and vegetable diet with a bit of fruit in the summer. The only canned stuff I buy is like veggies/stuff I can't get fresh in my area. Like black olives and stuff like that. Or pinto/kidney/red/white beans if I don't want to buy dry beans and rehydrate them and cook them.

Like I enjoy being in the kitchen and cooking but sometimes you want to take a few shortcuts. But yeah I eat pretty healthy.

could be worse, but could also be a lot better >_> I at least try to have a bit of veggies and fruit every day, and limit processed foods

A lot of the barrier is my muscle problems that make it pretty hard to cook for myself at times, although I would like to more. And unfortunately most convenient/frozen food in america is preddy bad for you

Yep. Plenty of complex carbs and fiber from whole grains and legumes, healthy fats from nuts and seeds, usually served with antioxidant rich fruits and veggies. I have a small amount of processed foods here and there, I'm only human, but it's few and far between.

Due to the mixture of enshitification, inflation, and Australia having a duopoloy of supermarkets which has led to basically all commercially based sweets and junk food tasting genuinely trash (and costing an arm and a leg for the privilege of eating said trash) the answer would be yes.

If I want to indulge my sweet tooth, well, lets just say I've gotten very good at baking biscuits. And pizza dough. And making tomato sauce from scratch. And making milkshakes.

Not that I bake very often. Takes time. Corpos forget that if the quality was actually there some of us would pay a premium just to not have to make our own, but when quality is garbage and you charge premium rates at the same time, well, lets just say if I really want it I make it myself and the rest of the time I just don't bother.

My weight thanks them.

Kind of.

I don't eat junk food, crisps (chips), sweets (candy), cakes, etc, and I don't drink fizzy drinks, not even the diet ones.

I do eat more red meat than you are supposed to, drink alcohol, and can't resist takeaway curry.

Relatively. I follow the "80/20" rule, which is to say 80% of the stuff I eat is whole, nutrient dense food, and 20% is the "junk" that actually tastes good.

I try.

My diet is pretty Mediterranean. Lean meats (fish and chicken), greens, fruits, nuts. Carbs are mostly rice. Lots of Greek yoghurt. Drinks are water and loose leaf tea, sometimes lowfat milk with protein powder when on a bulk.

I don't drink alcohol. No junk food. No soda. Red meat I avoid but I'll eat it on vacation at a nice restaurant experience and one burger a month as a treat. Sweets, I'll get a dark chocolate bar every few weeks.

I try to, but I'm not good at it.

Luckily I never really ate much fast food or other super unhealthy junk food. But while I cook for myself a lot, it still tends to be things like pasta or tacos with no vegetables.

I'm also prone to over eat

If I'm gaining weight, like now, I eat a base of healthy food with some unhealthy food like pizza here and there to put on the pounds. If I'm maintaining or losing weight, yes, the majority of my diet is healthy.

Being vegan, I naturally avoid a lot of unhealthy foods. I take my vitamins and eat home-cooked meals most days since restaurant options are limited. It plenty of processed foods like Impossible Burgers and vegan chicken. I don't excerise like I should, but my blood work is perfect, and my blood pressure is great.

Weights never been an issue for me. When I was in my early to mid 20s, I could pig out on whole large pizzas, dozen(s) donuts, sodas, candy, bread, cookies, ice cream, whatever I wanted and never gained any weight. But I had a lot of stomach issues as a kid and into my early 20s. After that I started to improve my eating habits and stopped drinking soda entirely and eventually cut out 95% of my sweets that I used to indulge on. I learned to enjoy vegetables and switched to chicken from red meat. In 2019, I started exercising daily and have kept it up to date.

Physically I feel really good. I feel like I'm in my 20s at age 44.

Most foods are inherently healthy. Its the ultra processed stuff we got to be weary about. Then eating a lot and not moving. There are many factors to this.

I try to, but this also brings up what is healthy? It's not really a binary, its a matter of moderation, variety, and then of course your individual needs.
