Realizing how much time I idly check my phone but am not actually doing anything. Legit just doom scrolling and occasionally reading a random news article or 2 and getting bummed out by the state of the world. If Im going to be on my phone itd be cool if I was actually doing something productive. I downloaded a couple writing/journal apps but I find it hard to do any legit writing on anything thats not a lap top or pen and paper, but maybe something with solid short prompts might work for me. Was doing Duolingo but kinda phased out of that after it went super AI driven. Not sure what educational apps are out there, I tried Nibble and it seems alright but not super in depth. Would love any suggestions for good apps (preferably free but if its cheap I can consider it) that give at least some sense of productivity or learning, or just anything thats not full on brain rot. --- - The user formerly known as WafflehouseJK ... lately I've had fun getting lost in tcrf.net reading about prototypes or changed/unreleased aspects of games. Early Pokemon titles in particular have mountains of cut content or completely different phases of development. This next one is less educational but more "old internet" stuff - neocities.org is great for browsing around. Almost all the content there is focused on 90s/2000s era website design without any modern crap. --- Kind reminder not to defend corporations when they make dumb/anti-consumer decisions. ... Maybe check out the freeCodeCamp app? The service itself isn't perfect but if you ever wanted to learn anything about coding it's a good starting point. Website is better imo. Also they revised all their curriculum in the past year so it's a lot different. --- RS3: UltimaSuende - CE Thread Zone https://letterboxd.com/BMovieBro/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Brilliant just made courses free but just two lessons a day (and annoyingly something you're in at midnight counts for both days unlocks) See if your library does Libby, Kanopy, Hoopla (a lot of fluff but I think does have "The Great Courses" at least here), or Mango Language LinkedIn learning I've heard good things about but that might also be through a library --- "Like you're standing in front of them with your hands behind your back, and then present a small ribbon-wrapped gift to them."
