I'm paid biweekly which is 26 paydays a year, which is 2 left over in 12 months, so every 6 months there's an extra in your month

When you budget assuming 2 per month it's like getting a bonus

October always starts off promising knowing I'm going to be getting 3 paychecks + bonus + Alaska PFD. And then I remember I have to spend $3500 stocking up on firewood and heating oil for the winter.

that is painful. i worry about electric cost of running a heater that shuts off after a few hours. just to avoid freezing in a room.

bedding can only help so much against freezing cold (have to use 4 layers) myself. 3 blankets and a comforter.

I get paid once a month. Always been that way at this job Ive had since 1999. Truthfully I like the once a month pay. Bills are always paid monthly so it is easier looking at incoming vs outgoing.

But ultimately I dont care what the system is. They could pay me once a year if they wanted and Id be fine with it. But I do like it monthly.

I don't think I've ever had a job that wasn't monthly pay. I currently get paid on the 20th or whichever working day is the closest before.

Whether I was to get paid weekly or monthly, I can't see how it would make a difference. The same amount of money comes in.
