LSU is "ranked" but they're not "Good"

They won't be ranked much longer and all the Big Ten complainers about SEC bias will have one less example to point to

They got taken to OT by Kentucky and Ole Miss.

We all know what they are.

OU-LSU to end the season is going to be a sad sad game (especially if we drop the game to Missouri the previous week to give us a nice month long losing streak)

Also theres going to be a couple of teams who absolutely should fire their coach this season but wont because of being lower than they normally would on the job opening list

I'm sure at season start they had Ohio State / Penn State penciled in

Listening to SVPod and they brought up the possibility that Tennessee/Vandy could be for a playoff spot if they both win out until that game

I was going to say Vandy probably still makes it at 2 losses but looking at teams above them, there's a quite a few who would need really unexpected losses to not make it at this point.

4. Alabama - Oklahoma (and anything can happen vs Auburn)

Obviously anything can happen and teams historically do pick up unranked losses but it's going to be interesting to see how they treat some of those 2 loss SEC teams that are likely better than 0/1 loss other conference teams.

I feel like Vandy doesn't get in with two losses simply because they're Vandy. Their reputation would precede them.

I do laugh that with all the doom and gloom Oklahoma would probably make the playoff if it won its last 4 games

I just realized who this year's Indiana is. It's Virginia. If they run the table (and the schedule isn't hard), they'll play in the ACC championship game at 11-1, and the committee says they don't hold title game losses against teams that are already in the field.

That means the committee has to keep them out of the top 12 the entire time.

well the governor of Louisiana essentially got the LSU AD fired

LSU immediately firing their AD under pressure by the governor is such a great look for Democracy.

It's a great look for the SEC

It just means more

On one hand, the governor is a part of the university's board of directors, so he does have a say in this.

On the other hand, he is a loud asshole.

He's the same guy who last year demanded that LSU bring the live tiger back to home games.

Kinda had a feeling Vandy was going to crash and burn today but I couldn't figure out why.

I feel like a lot of playoff hopefuls want Texas to win this. Texas ain't winning next week and will go to three losses (and probably four when they play A&M later), but this is Vandy's best chance to get to two of them.

I'm not sure anyone but Georgia Tech is actually on upset alert today. At NC State is certainly their hardest game of the season so far. They win this game and they're very likely 11-0 heading into the Georgia game, where they likely get their doors blown off, but they'll still be a 11-1 team in the ACC Championship Game.

How many more bad losses before we start hearing about Clemson wanting to get rid of Dabo?

Vandy was in the red zone with almost 2 minutes left down 24-3, all three timeouts, and played to run the clock out and kick.

Then Texas defense leaves a guy sitting practically by himself down the middle of the field for a walk in TD on 3rd and 10 with 17 seconds left.

It really feels like Louisville exposed Miami. They haven't been the same since, even though they keep winning.

Now that's the kind of catastrophic, potentially season killing mistake we've all been waiting for from Miami this season.

The moment Miami took that deadball penalty, you just knew. It sums up Miami football so well.

And that loss almost certainly ends their playoff chances because they have no path to the ACC Championship Game barring epic collapses from multiple teams

Although Louisville losing is one of the things they'd need and they're down to VA Tech at half
