Officials say a simple search of the former trooper's phone prior to the incident revealed a Google search of how it feels to get shot and where he could potentially shoot himself.

Also, lol @ his stupidity, doing all these web searches about the crime he planned to commit.

I remember this guy. When they searched his parent's home, they found $800,000 in cash and his father (former cop) was convicted in the 90's for being part of a cocaine ring.

He also said a black guy did it when he called it in, as if he wasn't enough of a piece of shit already

"There was an ex-girlfriend he was trying to impress and I believe he wanted the public to see him as a hero," Donnelly said.

However his attorney said it happened as a result of untreated mental health issues.

Oh my there's a bit to unpack there. Getting shot doesn't make people fall in love with you again, at most you'd get some sympathy. Getting shot during a traffic stop, also not heroic. Perhaps if the person getting stopped had kidnapped someone, then yes. Blaming it on untreated mental health issues... that really says something about the force as a whole where they can have this kind of lunacy, untreated, running around with a gun.

I am glad that he got prison time for this.
