Now that the flashback within the flashback is running down maybe we can actually get to the part where Harald dies so that we can finally get back to Elbaph where Loki is supposedly trying to rush this along because everyone on the layer above them is dying and everything is on fire.

Now I need to know how loki knows all this.

So...a brief summary of the chapter.

1. Roger and Garp clash with Rocks and look like they are struggling. They declare an official truce. Garp/Roger tell the Navy/his crew to get off the island.
2. Shiki and others realize the Rocks Pirates are over and are fleeing.
3. Gloriosa looks like she is escaping with the Roger Pirates considering the Rocks Pirates are done for.
4. Big Mom and Kaido are arguing over Kaido's "supposed" lifelong debt. Considering they both ended up at the bottom of a volcano present day, I would say Kaido never paid it off.
5. Polo Graham (Marco's Dad?) offers to take Whitebeard on his ship off the island.
6. Dragon (enraged) threatens his commanding officier at gunpoint and demands he bring aboard survivors of the Celestial Dragon's genocide of God Valley. Likely said commanding officier says this won't end well for Dragon.
7. Rayleigh and Gaban tell the Roger Pirates on the ship to sail out to see and wait. Presumably they are going back for Roger.
8. IMU!Saturn says that God Valley never existed much like he/she/they said regarding Lulusia.
9. The other mountain of God Valley was knocked over from Rocks fighting Roger/Garp.
10. Roger tells Garp if he knew about the government having ties to that "Black Monster" (Legend of Dragoon reference, lol...probably not) referring to IMU!Saturn and calls this an affront to "Justice". Garp agrees. Roger says if Garp wants to leave the Navy, he can join Roger's crew, but Garp refuses as if he does this, who would protect the Marines?
11. They discuss blasting Rocks with everything they have to overcome Rock's Conquerer's Haki. Presumably Demon Rocks is defeated in the last few panels of this chapter.

So regarding my thoughts on this chapter...

• I wonder what ended up happening with Gloriosa and Shakky post-God Valley considering both presumably escaped aboard Roger's ship. Based on what we have seen, they didn't travel with the Roger Pirates to Laugh Tale. No idea. And regarding Gloriosa...her being into Roger makes me wonder why Roger decided to get together with Portgas D. Rouge when Gloriosa was always available. Wonder if we will get clarification.
• Interesting to see Marco's presumed Dad at God Valley. I think we saw a picture of him in an earlier chapter come to think of it.
• Dragon's got guts, I will say that, as well as heart. Interesting how his commanding officier seemed fine just leaving innocents to their fate, but Dragon having him at gunpoint got him to "do the right thing". I'm interested to see if Dragon and Garp will meet before Dragon likely decides to part with the Marines to begin his crusade against them.
• Presumably with Rocks dying here, I presume this is either the last chapter of the flashback or very close to it.
• I still don't get why the World Government resisted letting Elbaph join when IMU clearly wanted them on his/her/their side. And I'm not sure either why IMU waited 24 years (38 - 14) post-God Valley to Domi Reversi Harald to get the ball rolling. Not sure if we have another flashback after the Gold Valley flashback (which is presumably wrapping up) or whether we will jump forward 24 years to the point Loki has to kill his Domi Reversied Dad. Odd how Loki never told anyone about his Dad turning into a Demon or anything, with Shanks/Gaban not having anything more than unsaid suspicisions more happened on that day.
• And yeah, I would like to see a movie on the whole God Valley incident, but I'm sure the Anime will do a good job when it gets there.

The Odin flashback showed information his 9 Samurai couldn't possibly know either and they clearly weren't explaining this info to anyone. Presumably all he will say present day is his father turned into a monster that killed everyone in the palace and Loki had to put him down.

He choose to stay with the Marines after they defended the Celstial Dragon's genocide of God Valley (to protect them) while his obvious foil in his son Dragon left soon afterward. That's a tough pill to swallow for a lot of people.

Yeah, it was my favorite part of the chapter as well. So glad the "Dragon does thing" memes are well and dead thanks to this flashback.

Well, Gloriosa did age a lot less gracefully then her former first mate Shakky did... Maybe Roger wanted someone younger.

But it does make me think of the timeline of events. Roger mentions when leaving Laugh Tale that he intends to have a son soon. Not sure if that implies he had already gotten together with Rouge or planned to once his journey was over.

Not sure why everyone wants a movie of the God Valley Incident. It will get animated eventually. Plus, Film Red forcing the Manga to rush to Shanks showing up at Elbalf robbed us of a proper Kaido flashback, which is sad.

It does make me think though, with Shiki and Uta being semi-canon characters that first appeared in Movies, will either appear in the Manga Proper at this point in the story?

Shiki has been all over this flashback, but he's basically just fanservice. Uta had that moment in 1055 but doubt she's ever actually appearing.

there's still one thing missing from the flashbacks: how did Loki get framed for killing King Harald? we still havent gotten into that part.

and yeah, a movie out of the whole God Valley flashbacks would be dope! in this day and age where anime arcs get adapted into movies, i think this could work!

yeah, that's what we're gonna end on, though with how things are going it's very likely that he did kill a domi-reversi'd Harald, rather than being framed
