Just felt like doing a vibe check and I don't think there's anything wrong with another topic, especially keeping it focused on the Dems here and now and not the midterms.

I don't hate them.

I'm just deeply saddened and depressed about how useless they are.

I don't hate them, but I find them extremely frustrating.

They're the only chance we have at fighting the GOP's growing Christofascism, and they're not putting up much of a fight.

I don't hate "the Democrats". Just the few traitors who fucked it up for everyone and gave Trump all the power back.

This is exactly what the maggats wanted. For a few to cave and make people hate Democrats so they don't get votes in the midterms.

I agree this is what the republicans wanted and the dems gave it to them wrapped up with a nice bow.

I hate some specific, individual Democrats who seem to make it their life's mission to help the Republicans fuck us all eight ways from Sunday, but as for the party as a whole, I'm just utterly disappointed in it.

If I hated them any more than I do now, I'd be a republican. Or they would.

It's hard to tell some of these dems apart from Republicans really.

I'm angry at the eight senators who caved, but I still like the party as a whole compared to Republicans.

The leadership is weak and inadequate, their party apparatus (strategists, media people and assorted wonks) is not fit for purpose. They are corrupted by corporations and special interest groups. Too many are career focused and complacent.

Instead of clear, consistent, strong messaging we get a 'what can you do?' and a 'people will forget about it by the time the next elections happen'. Which is unacceptable.

MAGA is enacting vile policies and rushing America into authoritarian fascism, and yet somehow the Democrats contrive to appear as the ones people should be hating. This is a gross failure of presentation and management.

At some point, you have to stop telling people that they are at fault for not giving the Democrats a more generous assessment. Or accusing them of being stealth MAGA if they don't. Democrats need to find a way to cut through the bullshit, the media bias, and the misinformation, and come across as the essential alternative to a brutal Christian Nationalism.

That is, after all, their job.
