Inverted used to be the default for games like timesplitters and perfect dark. I was too young to know what the word inverted meant when i started playing them, so i didn't know how to change it in the settings. So i just got used to it instead. Can't even play regular

I use inverted since I feel like it was the default back in the day with no option to change it so I'm extremely used to it as it feels natural to me. My friend constantly criticizes me for it lol.

Always standard for me, even if I'm playing as a flying vehicle. Never liked inverted. Makes it hard to go back to old games that have inverted Y-axis that can't be changed.

I used to be inverted for everything, but then I played a game that didn't let you change it and I got used to it and now I do normal, except for the aircraft, obviously.

In my case, I just got my start on a game that had inverted. But anyway, the same logic applies for camera as for aircraft. If you imagine the stick is rigidly attached to the camera, you're rotating the camera up when you pull it toward you.

Depends on the game. I play space sims and when I fly something I have to be inverted. Anything else, standard.

Inverted. As for why we don't invert the X axis too, try using a joystick and it'll become clear.
