Don't want to say it's "only" good as a cover, but I prefer Failure's cover of Depeche Mode's "Enjoy the Silence". And apparently Andy Fletcher from Depeche Mode agrees.
I also prefer Faith no More's covers of Easy like Sunday Morning and War Pigs, but I can probably count on one hand the number of times I've listened to the originals.
