I hate to sound like a nub, but the amount of BS this game had past the halfway mark was ridiculous. It felt like half the encounters were almost boss-tier level with crap like moving twice or even THRICE before you get a turn, breath moves that can kill your team very easily if RNG is against you, high frequency of crit-type desperation moves, randomly fluctuating HP values (one enemy will have like 20 HP while another monster in the same group will have 100), and then not helping matters at all was that the encounter rate was through the roof which basically required you use items or spells to tone it down. I think I was healing after every encounter toward the end.

And of course, if you happen to run a bad team comp, it's not an easy fix either as changing your class sends that character all the way back to level 1, which could require hours of grinding to get them back to normal.
