I said when I go long that means I baught it first and sold it later, when you sell it short it means you sell it first and buy it back second, both can be short term or long term.

well what is the difference? Investing is basically buy first then sell later.
she is trying to understand when I go long or go short and she is using long term investing for going long so she thinks there is only 3 terms not 4.
What I did now was say, forget about long term and short term because I am not doing long term when I am talking about my day trades since day trading imples short term, even if I am swing trading (and she kinda went skitz hearing the swing trade term -.-_
