No, there's an entire group of SRPG fanbase, probably bigger than the Fates fanboys and the people who like the storytelling more, that prefer large maps. FFT was an entire series, and every other SRPGs don't even use grids. The problem with narrow maps is that only 4 units can fight at a time. It's inherently more juggernaut focused. Every fucking Fates viable build is a juggernaut. EVERY build. Group fighting ability is non-existent in Fates. Just look up any modern vid on Fates Lunatic

It doesn't matter if you baselessly claim I'm in some minority as you... claim just freely without much evidence for some reason. The problem is I explain my points and Fates fanboys usually have nothing actually substantial to say against it. It's just a bad SRPG that feels good because it's more of an RPG that rewards crazy builds over actual strategy.

Unless just placing your well built unit on a pillar and passing is considered strategy. That's just 90% of Fates gameplay even in the highest lvl speedruns, but oh well I guess
