Calwings posted... I decided to do more research into the CFVG franchise. Between how stupidly long the original timeline is (196 episodes and a movie for the original series, 175 episodes for G) and what I read about how IF appears to be more closely tied to the reboot timeline than the original timeline, I think I'll just watch the reboot instead. It's still fairly long at 97 episodes, but that's far more manageable than 371 episodes.
Yeah the reboot is good too, but I think generally people like the original far better. IF does have ties to the reboot, but you won't feel lost if you watch the original. It's all the same characters and the same arcs and everything with minor (but crucial imo) differences. However, the length might definitely be a huge factor for choosing the reboot. I watched this as it came out so it wasn't as bad for me.
