We've had 3 main CE topics about this, two statements, and two feedback topics. If you want to ask a question, please genuinely do so in an appropriate area.yeah that's bullshit
That's the moderator note. Apparently I violated the designated complaining area on CE. There also isn't an area to ask questions as the feedback and statement topics are locked and I don't see Tim or DToast answering things in these topics.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that people cheering on the insurrection on January 6th, 2021 was really what started us down this path.
I'm gonna go ahead and assume that people cheering on the insurrection on January 6th, 2021 was really what started us down this path. That was when that MAGA board, or whatever it was called, got shut down. I'm assuming the MAGA folks who didn't get banned mostly migrated to the politics board and then CE. And then they got the politics board shut down so they either left or went to CE.
And now CE is made private.
Fandom didn't even own Gamefaqs in 2021.

This is happening because every body cant stop bitching about each other. And people get banned and make alts and keep pushing the button and keep the act up.Nah, it's happening because Fandom is shit and their staff are incompetent. Nobody can deny that this place has cesspool qualities, but any worsening of it is their own doing.
Is the community manager really 19 years old lol
Nor did the maga folks get any board shutdown. That's just Fandom wanting to be the white bread of neutrality when it comes to anything remotely political.
Of course had full bans been given out to more of the people celebrating terrorism, it would have sent a much stronger message.
This is happening because every body cant stop bitching about each other. And people get banned and make alts and keep pushing the button and keep the act up.It has nothing to do with the community here. Do not believe their lies.

It's been less than an hour and you're bumping it?Fuck it
I expected this to be a 500 topic by nowI guess things are settling down. Its been over 2 days now.
Let's meet in GaiaOnlineNah, Oldschool Runescape. We can chop trees together
Nah, Oldschool Runescape. We can chop trees togetherGaia still has their MMOthing, varied forums, 30+ yr old recluses & crippling inflation. It's a Millenial paradise.
who owns threadzone?
I guess things are settling down. Its been over 2 days now.
I am checking out ThreadZone but shit is hard to navigate, it feels like reddit except you have to subscribe to zones to see the content first (or... something)? Also a lot of users from that one LUE spin-off that got shut down a year or two ago.
I'm too old for discord, it's fine for small group discussions but I can't keep up with everything when there's like twenty people posting shit and then I'm out of the loop because I couldn't log in for two days
Nah, Oldschool Runescape. We can chop trees together
It was based on the old gamefaqs forum. If you use it for a bit you'll gradually feel it all coming back.

I feel that. I liked the old LUE spinoff because it was a direct GFAQs clone. All these "websights" and "zones" defeat the point of still using GFAQs, which was the traditional simplicity. >_>
I haven't posted in years and just lurk but I finally saw the news. It's a shame that it has come to this. I spent the last few hours looking at old posts and reading topics remembering the good times and users from back in the day. GameFAQs was one of a kind but has obviously become a relic of the early 00s internet era that can't compete with the corporate ad-based internet that companies like Fandom serve up. I've spent over 17 years here which seems wild looking back at it. I suppose I wanted to post one last time as a sort of personal closure. All the best to everyone in the future.
CE syolllBro, it's basically terminal. People are gonna slowly get purg'd for the unclear rules and the remaining people will either leave or will be so scared to post anything slightly controversal that discussion will be super sterile and boring
Ce still be here it's not closing
Lol let's be real, this board is on life supportNah, a lot of people were definitely saying Fandom would kill GameFAQs after the acquisition lol. We hoped for the best but the worst still happened
We didn't think anything would happen when Fandom bought Gamefaqs and now look where it's at
Ce still be here it's not closing
Fandom ruins everything it touches.
Even their own wikis. Their redesigns have been trash which is why I stopped editing a lot.Or how there's a banner ad, ads on the sides, ads between sections, a pop-up video with some random streamer, and pop-up ads.
