As I'm about to make a topic or witty post on CE, i fucking see it from my peripheral vision. It came from my door, i looked and it was halfway to my desk, den i stood up and it went behind my desk. Da bastard was fast!!!

I freaked out and started putting on my shoes and immediately googled what it could be. I got afraid when i saw it looked like a brown recluse so i made it my mission to find it and kill da fucker. After near misses, cause its fast as fuck, It took a while but thankfully it came out and i sprayed it with roach killer, it thankfully shocked it enough for me to squish da life out of it with my sandals lol

Sadly its too ruined for me to properly see if it was a brown recluse or a look a like...but I'm paranoid now. What if all dose dreams of my fighting off spider webs and shit at night was actually a fucking spider messing with me lol, dat bitch

Now i wonder how many more are dere in here ;(

Nah, i scooped dat up and threw it outside. I'm thinking it was just a normal house spider...we had staring contest at da end lol, i was keeping eye contact with it as i went for my spray bottle on top of my desk

big spiders are creepy af.

on a semi-related note, i hadn't see many cicadas until today, and holy shit, there were like dozens on my door and windows this morning. when i opened my front door, several fucking fell off. i do not like bugs.

Wait till you see not just 1 but 20 bigger than your hand on a concrete wall. The good thing was even that large they are harmless. I forget the name. I want to say wolf or Hunter but not really sure

I live in Nevada, so I'm worried as fuck about big spiders

But also I pay for monthly "gtfo bugs" pest control, and I do live in the middle of a built up gated community, so I'm probably very unlikely to actually deal with anything.

Still doesn't stop the fear.

They will protect you from other bugs. Actually if you see the big spider it probably means you got other bugs or it wouldn't be there.

You have them in your house? They will leave little poo pellets. I had one get in somehow and had to get him to come out of hiding. Tried to catch him in a plastic tupperware thing but he got through a tiny hole into my couch pillows. Luckily moving them around he jumped on my pants so I just walked outside and got him off.

Nah, they're too big to get in the house. They like to live around the back wall between properties, since they can climb it and sun themselves. They basically patrol the perimeter, though, since I stopped putting out scorpion traps because baby lizards were getting trapped in them. Only once did a lizard ever actually get in the house, and it was a tiny baby that must have ran in when the door was open. It ran underneath a large box containing a shelf that I tried to move so it could be caught, and... It tried to run to stay under the box, and basically got itself crushed.

I legit felt bad about it for a few minutes.

Yes, but tiny spiders typically run from you, while large spiders run at you because what the fuck, life needs nightmare fuel, apparently.

Listen, anything with more than six legs is just unnatural and immediately creepy. Grasshoppers/crickets? You annoying as fuck, but you fine, otherwise. Spiders? Fuck you, stay away. Millipedes/centipedes? Truly, the devil has done work.
