Yep, DS9 is so good. TNG is a great show as well but suffers somewhat because the first season was kinda bad.

Outside of those, TOS still holds up well. SNW and Lower Decks are my favorites out of the newer shows. All the rest of the Trek shows aren't my favorites but there are things I like about them (even Discovery). The only show I haven't seen at all yet is Prodigy but I've heard good things.

Voyager. It's more nostalgia based as it was the first I watched from beginning to end, but I really do enjoy it. Even though there are a few stinkers.

TNG > VOY > DS9 > ENT > TOS

Aside from DIS season 1, I haven't watched any of the newer series. Might watch PIC season 3 someday, as I hear positive things about it from other TNG fans.
One time, CE triggered me so hard with their objectively wrong opinions that I accidentally punched myself in the balls.

I dunno what it is about DS9 that makes me like TNG better. I generally like Patrick Stewert too much, but I also just like the rest of the crew one for one compared to DS9. They're very different type of shows though despite both being Star Trek, but not in the way where the bad modern Star Treks aren't even close.

Missing an option for Orville, which does Trek better than Trek. Furthermore, you have to be familiar with Trek to appreciate it when Orville subverts Trek expectations.

Definitely the original series. I love the silliness, the quirkiness, and the campy 60s aesthetic. Shatner and Nimoy are so much fun to watch, too.

Of the Star Trek Ive watched so far (full series of TNG, ~40 episodes of Voyager, and perhaps 10 episodes of TOS and DS9 combined), TNG is my fave.

I think DS9 is my least favorite of all the STs. I just don't like it, can't get into it, and don't care for anybody on it. It just never captured my interest. It might be because I watched Voyager first and then the TNG. I am enjoying SNW and I did enjoy Picard. I will be starting TOS, which I have never seen, after this season of SNW.

SNW. It's the only one I've managed to start and finish (of what's out so far.)

When it first came out I wasn't a fan of Deep Space Nine. It was, conceptually, too passive with a lot of the antics being thrust upon the station rather than the Enterprise going to a new alien planet.

But I gave it another go a few years back and now I like it even more than TNG. It's got great characters and interplay and Sisqo is a badass captain.

DS9 also takes awhile to get going. First season is rough, but I think it really picks up in the second season.

DS9>TOS>TNG

DS9 is my second favorite Sci-Fi series behind the original Twilight Zone. Such a fantastic show.

I'm gonna take a controversial stance and say that my favorite Star Trek is actually Enterprise. I love that early frontier exploration and the naivety of early Star Fleet. Plus, I love Archer and Trip's relationship and I love T'Pol (once they tone down the overly sexual stuff).

I really like all of the Star Trek media, but I think my rating of the various series (and I include the movies as part of their respective series) would be

ENT > DS9 > TOS (and TAS) > SNW > TNG > DIS > LDS > PRO > VOY

tng with ds9 just a tiny bit close to fav startrek series.

i got into ds9 because i was so invested in tng characters that i followed worf. Worf carried me into ds9 as i casually became familiar with others there.

As tng ended, ds9 took over for me then voyager because its startrek. Enjoyed them both but i wasnt missing much if i missed an episode or 2.

I havent seen the new stuff much yet and im glad the new shows are carrying the on going series.

Strange New Worlds feels like the first true successor TV series since Voyager. It's a near prequel with Captain Pike. James Kirk is a lieutenant.

Discovery definitely gets too much hate. It's not my favorite Trek series, I have my problems with it, but there's also a lot about it that I thought worked. And even the things I didn't like were mostly early on and the show got better over time.

I'm withholding judgement on Starfleet Academy until I've seen it. I can say though that whether it turns out good or not I at least appreciate that they're willing to try something different. DS9 wouldn't exist if the makers of Star Trek at the time weren't willing to try something that was different than anything the franchise had done before.

While I enjoy ST its like trying to pick one that hits all points. Theres problems with every single one.

TOS. 60's budget. Shatners over acting. Some pretty poor stories.
TNG. While cast is great the weekly reset kinda sucks. Yes there is small threads to tie the show episodes together but some never have a pay off.
DS9. I think this would be my pick. Characters have growth, stories are good. The cons is while its main setting is the station, knowing the concept of the show was stolen from JMS when he went to Paramount to sell B5. So not really a orginal idea.
Voyager this would be my 2nd choice. First season was not good. The rest had some great stories. Some of the best in sci-fi.
Enterprise. Never got it footing till the back half of the 3rd season. Its good. Its quality is around TNGs

Havent watched PIC, DIS, LD or Prodigy
I watched the first season of SNW and that it was going in a good direction. I had some problems with casting legacy characters that who were not excatly like their TOS counterparts

I love Discovery because I love the idea that the idealism of The Federation is so unique (in-universe) that when faced with a hopeless situation, you have to double down on it. Discovery is basically "but what if we could solve our problem by Trekking even harder?", and I think that's completely appropriate.

TNG.

It's carries the original vision with a deeper exploration of using science fiction to discuss human problems and reflect modern discussion. None really get close to this.

While I like DS9 and it has some exceptionally poignant episodes. Overall I find the war arc poorly paced and generally going against the vision Roddenberry set out to show. So, especially in our shitty bleakass world, watching some straight up capitalism free utopia, is the balm that soothes.
