DS9, followed closely by TNG.
The one with SylarThat's the modern-ish movies.
DS9, followed closely by TNG.Yep, DS9 is so good. TNG is a great show as well but suffers somewhat because the first season was kinda bad.
TNG is the best 'pure' Trek but DS9 is probably the better show.Undeniable fact!
DS9>TNG>Voy
I don't care about any star trek before or after that.
When it first came out I wasn't a fan of Deep Space Nine. It was, conceptually, too passive with a lot of the antics being thrust upon the station rather than the Enterprise going to a new alien planet.DS9 also takes awhile to get going. First season is rough, but I think it really picks up in the second season.
But I gave it another go a few years back and now I like it even more than TNG. It's got great characters and interplay and Sisqo is a badass captain.
I'm going to piss of so many fans, but it's Discovery. It really fits into the type of space sci fi I like.As a life long Star Trek fan, I personally enjoyed Discovery a lot. I know that it's different from the pre-Kurtzman era of Star Trek, but I think the show is very much over hated. I'm also hyped for Star Fleet Academy.
I havent seen the new stuff much yet and im glad the new shows are carrying the on going series.Strange New Worlds feels like the first true successor TV series since Voyager. It's a near prequel with Captain Pike. James Kirk is a lieutenant.
As a life long Star Trek fan, I personally enjoyed Discovery a lot. I know that it's different from the pre-Kurtzman era of Star Trek, but I think the show is very much over hated. I'm also hyped for Star Fleet Academy.Discovery definitely gets too much hate. It's not my favorite Trek series, I have my problems with it, but there's also a lot about it that I thought worked. And even the things I didn't like were mostly early on and the show got better over time.
Glad to know my liking of Discovery isn't that bad.The thing that annoyed me the most is the show insisted on the Klingons speak whatever is their native language without being translated (which even Enterprise set many years before did away with quickly). As I was usually half-watching on a second monitor while playing a game, I found this irritating. Otherwise, also long as you like the lead, the show is enjoyable in its own way.
DS9, followed closely by TNG.this but opposite
