I've now gone back with the hookshot and the double jump.

Yeah, I had gotten Clawline and then remembered The Slab had these little rings off to the side too . I did all that before I ever found the Bilewater area. It all sucked, even with like 6 thread upgrades and 7 HP. It's so much, and you find the area with the fucking jumping maggots like why... why.

I was absolutely dreading a phase 5. Lost Lace is already pretty gruelling once all that other void shit starts getting everywhere. I figured Grand Mother Silk was gonna give us another round or two. I would have been fine with some GM silk rounds but they would have had to scale Lace down a lot to make it winnable.

They couldn't go too crazy on GM though because of that trophy for winning that fight while cursed.
Narutaki was right. This is all Decade's fault.

So, years ago, my wife and I made matching costumes (2018) where I went as Hollow Knight and her as Hornet.

I can't find a photo of nyself, but here is her as Hornet (which I feel is topical considering the topic)

I don't think that works for the final Act 3 fight. That trophy is meant to be gotten before you go for the Act 2 option that unlocks Act 3.

Made it to the Pinstress and got the Needle Strike. Blasted Steps are not exactly my favorite area but I'm making it work.

I found it a little disappointing that the final boss was just a souped up version of a fight you already did a couple times

i dont even think the attacks they added in the final phases were all that different or hard to avoid. It just kind of ended up being more of an endurance fight

It was more that the fight was a direct call-back to The Radiance, but because this game was dramatically harder the fact that they had a fight that was balanced around the first game's difficulty ended up with the fight feeling pretty trivial.

There isn't , as far as I was able to find, as the only spot with the bench in that area is a locked off area to the far right in the "present" and you're in the "past" in that zone, but any progress you make in solving all the little trails you need to go on will persist.

Short version: Because most flying enemies actively evade you while pelting you with bullets. There's only like 2 ground based enemies I can think of off hand that throw stuff and because they can only dodge on the X axis it isn't too hard to Clawline their asses when they back up and then wreck face.
If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care. There would be no charge no matter how complex the delivery. But its not about babies, is it?

Those are pleasant compared to flying enemies in Silksong, and flying enemies are far more common.

Flying enemies have reverse rubber banding including flying bosses like Moorwing. If you jump at them, they just fly backwards. Only way to hit them is during some other animation where they are rooted or wait for them to dive at you and counter attack.

If you've ever played Super Ghouls and Ghosts then you have an idea of what they're like already.

At 98% completion, I think I just have the final boss and still some spool / memory fragments
Last enemy I need is near the boss I think

Well, now at 100%, collected everything and fought all bosses except the last one I think (and the Garmond one in Act 2)
All achievements so far except story, speedrun, and steel soul mode (definitely not doing either of those last 2 types)

Too bad it's late at night and I have to go into the office at work or I'd just finish it now so I can move on to Hades II

Huh. That probably explains it, lol.

Anyways, (Act 3 side stuff) I spent more time doing the flea festival than every boss so far. Ended up switching to Shaman crest for the juggling. Also found another platforming challenge above the cradle.
Arknights ID: DarkSam#9367.
FGO friend code: 036,846,446.
Flea Dodge was cancer
It took me so many tries, before RNG let me win with 107 or something
I really hate when things like that are at the very end of the game, because that becomes the most memorable part for the sheer frustration - it might be all I really remember Act 3 by aside from Verdania (which I enjoyed) and I guess the final boss

It wouldn't be so bad if platforms disappeared at consistent intervals or only the oldest of 2 platforms disappeared, but trying to manage that randomness plus everything else got tedious

Yes I know tools are good but like fuck it's one guy and you can't restock in dreams with the architect.

Also clawline helps with flying enemies but...when you're trying to build up silk damn yo.

I LOVE the throwing AI, whatever it is, it's pretty spot on in a game where you have 5000 mobility options in the air. Yeah there's a pretty clear pattern but when you first start off it feels like thrown stuff is laser beamed right on you. Props to them for figuring that out, and props to the devs for letting you one hit parry them as well.

Lol, it IS true, but when you're a beast claw user it's very hard to wait for them to attack and then go in too. Beast claw people suffer so much and have to learn a lot to make a good fight happen.

So something I noticed today I've been using the architect crest for 3 weapons + poison. In act 3 when you fight enemies where you have to play the needolin first to get into the area, for some reason recharging health while airborne seems to replenish my tool supply.

I have no idea why this is but it's making the fights here considerably easier

Bounce > Dodge > Juggle. Bounce wasn't that bad with Reaper, Dodge was RNG-ish but I didn't have that big of an issue, and the Juggle just wasn't working for me at all.

It's an inbuilt feature of the Architect Crest. You can replenish tools mid-fight by using Up + Bind, as long as you have enough shards in reserve.

Flea Juggle is bullshit. Just when I get a good rhythm going it throws 3 fleas at me where one goes far left, one goes far right, and the other goes to the center. Literally impossible to hit all 3
If it was about babies we'd have universal maternal care. There would be no charge no matter how complex the delivery. But its not about babies, is it?
For juggle use wanderer crest with the longclaw tool

make it a lot more manageable

also idk who needs to know this but you dont have to up attack the fleas for them to bounce up (I did not know this at first)

Team Cherry is fucking diabolical for having that as your reward for the festival lmao

So guys...juggle, dodge or bounce?

Bounce >>>juggle > dodge
I struggled heavily on Dodge to get to 96, did get to 92-93 several times before eventually getting 107 and finishing it
I thought juggle was easy, even Seth's score wasn't too bad
Bounce was harder than juggle but still not bad and was actually enjoyable tbh

Dodge... holy RNG fest
