Astral - Prison

Maybe it's just the time of night for round 3, and maybe it's when I'm listening to Atelier, but it just sounds like any number of Sonic Lost World/Colors tracks, and I'm not about that tonight. On the other hand, I will almost always appreciate decent ambient.

Erg... matches 2 and 3 are both hard for me.

Also for the Aitiascope, it's worth noting that sundered Fandingdong apparently most closely identified as Amon instead of Hermes - the soul remembers that sort of thing in 14-land.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
Binding Coil, Crystal Tower, Void Ark, Azys Lla... yeah, Amon did A LOT.

A takeaway from Shadowbringers, though, which applies easily to Endwalker, is that shattered Ascians can easily carve out their own path. You have. Gaia was starting to despite another one who loved her - the mind stuck in stasis as Eden - trying to get her to join him (PS - in the Savage what-if, he succeeds and she becomes the final boss of E12S to the tune of The Extreme from FF8)

There's also precedence that the more you do the body hopping thing, the loonier you become over time (see: Lahabrea). Heck, there's even some further fuel for the insanity theory in Zenos himself, what with the person-who-should-be-capital-D-Dead still hounding you. So yes, Fandingus was Amon once, but no telling who or what he was before that (but after the Shattering.) Also of note is that the body of the possessed did not approve - you've been in the Aitiascope, you saw just how livid Baby Bowlcut was afterwards- and for once his hatred wasnt primarily directed at us. (As an aside, I wonder how Ardbert-in-us reacts to Elidibus-in-Ardbert, or if the First has it's own flavor of lifestream where a part of either of them are.)

I'm just soured by how many ophiotauroskin map runs and failed Furcacauda catch attemps I've had to do.

I love Ktisis Hyperborea as a dungeon, though.

Endwalker is great, but there is a lot. A LOT. Of fluff. Like holy shit a lot of fluff. Also, the second visit to Labyrinthos, apart from the reunion with Moenbryda's parents, is boring as hell and no amount of ill-fitting music is going to fail to remind me of Kholusia v2.0, which was at least somewhat exciting while it was going on

Actually, it's a problem with Labyrinthos as a whole. It seems like a zone I would love but everything in it is fucking boring - story, layout, fish... even the impending doom of the world is just a big ol' "meh, we'll get there with minimal problems since everyone's on board, right?"

Elpis is a pretty cool payoff to the end of ShB though, even if it's not the most amazing of "omg spoiler" zones.

----

That said, of course there's a lot of cutscenes. A big thematic takeaway I got from the expansion is "we hope you've enjoyed the journey and all its ups and downs." I also don't want to spoil anything from the *post* MSQ (the usual "after the credits roll") but the post-MSQ patches aren't very well received if you try to marathon them. Take them like a week a patch instead of one sitting and they're more digestible.

Aria Math

Duel VS Fortress Leader

Outer Wilds remains one of those soundtracks I imagine sould hit harder in context. Aria Math wins in that for me as a result (and I dont know where in Minecraft it plays either)

I'm voting for Falcom o no.

Boing boing is cool but I'm a bit more mesmerized by the metronomic kangaroo than I am the actual melody throughout. TCG2, meanwhile, doing funky GB soundchip things.

Match 3 was the standout for me today.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
Still a fun thought exercise, though.

My vote would be for Cloyster, and have some Pokedex shenanigans occur between it and the Slowkings/Slowbros but also Clamperl (and its evolutions) to prove that Pokemon marine biologists are roughly as terrible as Cara Liss.

what?

JoCat, animator/creator of crap guide to D&D (and also MonHun videos, and FFXIV role videos). Pretty funny stuff, but, uh, yeah. The shitty part of the Internet started making IRL threats his/his family's way and he pulled back on public videos as a result.

Still super shitty that he was getting doxxed by people upset over his Girls animation.

Out of context of Baldur's Gate, it should be noted that there's nothing wrong with statting your character weirdly (I personally just rolled up a L10 barbarian for the new Vecna sourcebook) and the way my stats fell before bonuses I'm strangely adequate or better in everything but my absolutely hideous Charisma - leading me to the class Fantasy of an outcast-half-elf-barbarian-turned-woodsman that looks completely nonthreatening and may have a problem with chemical dependency (and can "see the spirits" because Ancestral Guardian barbarian is fun that way.)
[Rock and Stone] <o/
As for the dying too quickly: welcome to being a low level Wizard, which also occurs in tabletop. Mage Armor (the spell) in tandem with better Constitution is your friend. If you want Strength on a Wizard, there's a spell or a magic item for that; if you absolutely must have physical stats on a Wizard, your priority order is likely going to be Con (more HP) > Dex (dictates ranged physical attacks and AC if you get caught unawares) > Str.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
Withers exists so that you do get to play around with whatever - and whomever - you want. There is absolutely no shame in paying for his services to do that; that said, strength *is* rather wasted on a wizard. If you're just going by baseline characters, you're better off having one of the ladies deal with it (none of the men have kept up with their lifting.)

That fight is fun, yeah. Release week as WHM we kept dying to Oblivion because it was an enrage and people kept on dying before the phase change and the resultant damage-down-of-shame made it so we couldn't just wait that phase out.

I like the spread this year! I'm not going to have any "I'll Face Myself (Shadow Battle)" moments where my r1 nominations, supports, and supports-I-didn't-support square off until at least r3 (if they make it that far) save one matchup in bracket B.

Mega Man 3 was my comfort game rental when I had the chickenpox in the pre-Internet days of yore. I didn't beat it then, but I got close (child Isquen had the Nintendo Power grapevine to work off normally, but being sick, he had trouble with the Devil fight when he finally got to the Wily stages.)

Can you buy the high level IL gear with normal times yet, or do I gotta wait for DT to launch?

Nope. Weapons still require P12 clears and the capped weekly Tome. Armor still requires the capped tome, and augmenting to 660 requires doing each of the Alliance Raids once. (which is cool, it's easier than Ivalice/NieR) Thaleia, the last wing, also gives 650 gear, the final L90 dungeon gives 645, and Pandemonium 9-12 give tokens for 640 (which is craftable)

Isquen I also would like an explanation

No explanation about it. Blade's being nasty for no reason and if he's town, well, cool, Corrik shot himself in the foot. If he isn't, the attitude is way too much, because while I've been quiet most of the game, I haven't been "I didnt read four topics or twenty posts before a rant idgaf scum will read for me" levels of jackass like SOMEONE here.

You also do this to Crescent every single game.

Maybe you shouldn't be literall her, then. I'm not speaking any more about her, or you, unless you try to be your own person and do something useful.

I'm at work and still managed to find a moment to watch the video, and it's host approved. You're being deliberately obtuse in a moment of pique. I'd still rather be on Kirby but, if it's a glorified gladiation between you and Peaf, I'd rather be against you.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
Speaking as the pot calling the kettle black, maybe you shouldn't have the charisma of a wet paper bag.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
Can I entreat the lawyer to chang my vote to Blade instead?
[Rock and Stone] <o/

[Rock and Stone] <o/

[Rock and Stone] <o/
Corrik claimed the uninformed part before you did, by my recollection, but I'll check myself, thank you very much.
[Rock and Stone] <o/
I think my whole problem with the Corrik/Blade pissing contest is the actual timeline of what happened. Corrik did his claim - including the uninformed part - BEFORE Blade read about the "not informed" part (and there's already a precedent set for "not paying attention" for a few topics. Looking at post 84 in particular here for that walkback. I need to confirm it when I'm not at work, but if Corrik is telling the truth, that makes Blade look worse.
