Yeah you can probably trace the rise in retro game prices back to the early days of YouTube with AVGN and all the people copying him.

Plus that would be about the time people growing up in the NES and SNES days would have the disposable income to buy up all the nostalgic games from their early years.

The Sequel Trilogy are better made movies but when it was all said and done the story that was told really didn't matter at all and was completely forgettable.

The Prequels are poorly written, poorly acted, and look like shit but they at least laid the groundwork for other people to come into that world and write good stories.
