Not really. Bad gameplay, graphics, story, and progression killed the game.
games as a service is just the boogeyman because its an easy catch all for bad games with the title attached.
Why didn't he just interview black people and note their current experiences?
It doesn't matter to me anymore as long as Ubisoft is involved but I actually liked the modern day story and hoped we would one day get a game where we play as Desmond. For obvious reasons that's never going to happen.
But there's still a lot of possibilities.
Han Dynasty game would probably be my next choice.
