Ubisoft looks good too. they've got Shootmania, AC3 of course, Rayman Legends looks good, and they're always first to support new platforms (even if their efforts are usually garbage)

Konami seems like the software company to watch this year, at least pre-e3. they've got that Castlevania, they've got something ZOE-related, they've got Revengeance (sorta), and then there's the chance of Kojima doing something as well.

That's bad management at 38. It sounds like they got a loan by convincing RI they could deliver a new IP that could sell 3 million copies. If this really was Schilling behind everything, he probably had grand dreams and just didn't know anything about the reality of making a game.

The number of new IPs that sold 3 million copies is pretty small, especially at the end of a console cycle.

either way, a LOS-esque 2.5d handheld game has next to zero appeal to me. needs to be straight 2d or 3d. 2.5d with 3ds trickery seems like a gimmick. also seems like Iga is permanently done with the series. I wonder where he turns up next - seems like he'd leave the studio and make that 'PRODUCED BY CASTLEVANIA VETERAN IGA' hype that guys like Kamiya and Mikami have gone on to do.

- Has anybody been following the 38 Studios drama? Basically, the Kingdoms of Amalur publisher owes the state of Rhode Island over a million dollars, which is cannot pay. They then skipped payroll so they could pay the fee, then asked RI for more money. To prove this, they leaked some video of their upcoming MMO, titled "project copernicus".
