Sorry Vlado, but as someone who takes this "seriously and personally" (after all, this is a topic about me) I'm not obliged to respond to your regurgitated logic, phantom statistics and winding nonsense posts with too much interest. You are not mellow, you are a strangely arrogant little man that follows in behind certain users for no apparent reason. That's surely the definition of "mellow and "easy to get along with"; provoking fights and harassing people on an online message board. Good use of off topic SMFFC references by the way, witty, original and most of all 100% logical! My hat goes off to you my man, I loved the long unnecessary line of periods too. Sorry I hurt your feelings. I AM quite easy to get along with, believe it or not. Ask yourself, why don't I argue with Lopen or Chris in this thread? It's because they've acted in a civil manner. You, with your insults and name-calling, have not. If you decide to just not explore the option of being civil to me, however, that is your own fault. I would have no problem getting along with you, but when you don't want to, what can I possibly do? Psycho_Kenshin posted... I do like Vlado and get along with him, but sure I disagree on things. For one, it does seem you have an issue with women expressing their sexuality. Not gonna derail ha but you did go on a bit of a hate-filled spew on a hot youtube personality that I like, some similar arguments you raised there. To me, sexuality isn't something to be taken so seriously, and yes men are attracted to women and vice versa and this will always flavor everything in life in some way. It seems this rubs you the wrong way, personally I'm of the attitude where I think more sex more all the time sex everything up folks. For the record, I love boobies. I love boobs, as well... Maybe not as much as you, but I do. But let's be serious here. If a woman flaunts her sexuality and is a dancer, stripper or a hooker, fine. I've got no problem with that, everyone's entitled to a profession of their choosing. However... When we talk some absolutely worthless human being appearing on youtube with the camera centered on her cleavage (the top of her head isn't even caught on camera), and actually trying to talk (in a terribly annoying voice, no less) about something entirely different than her sexuality, I take it as someone trying to sell me s*** via sex. That's offensive, that insults one's intelligence. If you want to demonstrate your sexuality via a video site, you'd better do a sensual dance or something, but, most importantly, shut the hell up. Or talk about sex, if talk is so necessary. Don't pretend you're trying to teach me f***ing Japanese. We both know well that's not your primary intention, not even close. And people actually fawn over that trash and such worthless wastes of matter have got fan followings in the thousands. My goodness, just how low can the human race fall? Just how desperate and pathetic can today's men get? I respect a woman who can achieve something with her intelligence, her abilities, her compassion, etc. I can also respect models, strippers, even porn stars to some extent. Not someone who's showing off their boobs for attention and pretending to be doing something else. Anyway, GenesisSaga is far above that level. At least she's not showing her boobs here or anything. She actually seems to be a rather cool person, if only she could supress the urge to purposely attract male attention on a gaming board where obviously most don't get laid that often, making them easy targets. But hey, no-one's perfect. vcharon posted... Vlado is a gifted writer Tell me something I do not know, lol -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! I think his whole point is that handhelds in general aren't amazing Yeah, well, if you don't like handhelds in general, then I can't blame you for not being crazy about the PSP. I merely used the chance to point out PSP is the best. JJH777 posted... From: Vlado | #016 What IS the greatest handheld then? With PSP, you can do more than with any other handheld. To me, that makes it the greatest. The DS is. It actually has a significant amount of good games. Using something that can only be done illegally to say one system is better than another is dumb. DS has got quite a few good games, sure. I quite like the Phoenix Wright series, for one. The PSP is still way better - to me, even on its own library alone (though I can see somebody thinking otherwise). But playing PS1 games on it is also legal, and that easily shoots it above the DS even before emulation of older systems (techically illegal, but who cares?) comes into play. -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! For the record, it can play PS1 and PSP games legally, and that's been the main thing I've used mine for. ShadowHalo17 posted... Wait. PSP being amazing? While it is true people on this board (and in life generally) will 'pick on' certain people 'just because it is them', more often than not they have done something to warrant it. I have tried to get along with you over the years Vlado, but often you are pretentious, pompous and present any opinion you have in the most arrogant and unflattering way imaginable. The majority of people don't enjoy being friendly with someone of that attitude. Many people get along with me just fine. Look at Lopen right above your post... Even when he disagrees with me, he can state it in a civil manner, and I reply similarly because I respect such behaviour. Sorry, but you are taking things way too seriously and personally. You are, after all, the guy who regularly gets mad and argues for hundreds of post over a "Save my Final Fantasy character" contest.............. Of course people like that will hardly enjoy someone not being a little b**** and actually stating his opinions openly and without "imo" after every other word. It's not your job to police board 8 with your opinions or try to "make this a better place". If you don't like a topic or a person, you might try simply not posting in their topics. You could even try that ignore feature if it bothers you that badly. It's not my "job," but it's something I like to do, so I do it. Problem? It's not that I dislike GenesisSaga, I don't. But she assured me I was mistaken when I accused her of flaunting her gender for attention the other time, so I thought "Hey, I may have jumped to conclusions there!" and decided to give her another chance. It's not pleasant to see that my good faith has been betrayed so quickly. You already believe the board is "heavily biased against you", so why bring this up in here? What exactly would be the point of a crusade you already know 95% of the people on the board will disagree with you on? If it was easy, anyone could do it. I enjoy a challenge. I have won many people over the years, by the way. Quality users like Sess, Soul, Liquid Wind used to hate my guts, but the years have shown them my immense value for the board. A recent poll revealed that more people liked than disliked me (and most were, unsurprisingly, not on either side). So that 95% figure is vastly exaggerated and perhaps only applies in threads when I'm proving a point, as many people like to flock on me for no reason, while those who enjoy my contributions are not as petty as to flock to every thread to defend me. :) Although, even here we're far from the 95%. Condensed: Stop taking things like this so seriously and try to enjoy the message board. I'm the one taking things seriously? lol I'm one of the most mellow and easy to get along with people here, ask anyone who has been civil with me. Of course I won't be nice to people being asses, that would be stupid. But I certainly wouldn't get mad over someone having a different opinion like many people here. And before you say it's not because of the opinion, look at Liquid Wind and how Nintendo fanboys loathe him just because he speaks the truth about the Wii and Nintendo today in general. And the guy loved pretty much everything Nintendo in the past. A large part of this board simply cannot handle people thinking differently, thinking ahead. -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! When even more people agree with Genesis and she makes several astute observations, it's a weak argument that's only worthy of giving some sort of cute Ulti-lite response as if it has any merit whatsoever considering you were the one coming in here to talk about how she was attention whoring in the first place. Good to know you're as blatantly biased as ever, but at least you're beyond the point where you try to pretend you aren't. Heh. It's the board that is heavily biased against me - do not act as if you don't know that. OoT is a game where nothing especially stands out to me. The plot is sub-JRPG level (and not all JRPGs even have a plot I'd consider good). The gameplay is shallow: when you Z-target one enemy, other enemies mostly ignore you, so you only need to learn how to fight 6 or so 1v1 fights to beat mooks. I'm not a fan of the music, which is overly simplistic and very repetitive to make the area themes sound like the 6-note Ocarena songs. Excellent, very true mini-review of OoT! Actually, it's also very good at planning ahead: damn near everything that seems out of place in earlier books tends to have a purpose in later books. That reminds me of the Metal Gear series, so you can't be sure if it's really planning ahead or just taking care to explain strange stuff the fanbase was wondering about. :P -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES! But Vlado, I think you're forgetting Ocarina of Time also came out that year. Not even that result of an utmost lack of inspiration, ironically (perhaps logically) worshipped by millions can ruin the year that gave us Xenogears. :) -- If you like Blitzball, try Captain Tsubasa II (in English) for NES!
