Not sure why people are saying straight couples would never get asked to stop either, that's exactly the kind of thing a soccer mom or some old lady is going to complain to the flight attendant about. Get those damn kids to stop screwin around. Especially if they have kids. If that happens, the flight attendant will go tell them to stop it with the PDA. If the straight couple got super fired up about it then they'd be kicked off the plane too. Really, there's nothing remarkable about this story besides that some woman on the L Word thinks she's a big deal and can make an even bigger deal out of this happening to her.

I read those twitter comments posted at the top of that incredibly biased and badly written article. I don't care what happened on that plane but that Leisha Hailey person seems like a dumb **** and a total drama queen and I'm just going to automatically side with the airlines. She deserves nothing.

MarvelousGerbil posted... I played WoW, got to 85, got bored, and quit. I just find the prospect of "applying" to a guild to be stupid. Why don't you apply to a job instead?
Well, it's unfortunate, and you probably won't accept this, but there's certain quality to raiding with a group of competent people that you like that I just can't explain to you if you never really did it yourself. The raids are too difficult to let just anybody in.... and to make them easy enough so that you COULD let just anybody in.... would ruin a lot of the fun. And has in the past.
I like how you imply that nobody that would apply to a guild has a real job >_>
Funny thing is, I actually spent the last two weeks applying to professional accounting firms <_<

Well, I get why people who don't play wow laugh at applying to guilds, but quite frankly, there are millions of people playing wow, some are good enough to be in my guild, many are not. Though this isn't really a topic to explain wow to THE UNWASHED MASSES

About 6 months ago, about 16 deaf people all transferred to our server. I think about 10-12 have cycled through our guild at this point.
Some of them were just plain bad, some of them were ok, and some of them were damn good at what they do. But when it comes to a raid, you just can't communicate to them what you need them to do in the heat of the moment. It's so frustrating!
At one point like 7 of the 25 people in our raid was deaf people, it SUCKED. All of them eventually phased out and stopped playing, thankfully.
A few weeks ago, a decently geared and experienced priest applied to our guild and we took him. Then raid night came.... and it turned out he was another of the infamous 16 deaf server transfers. The guild leader wanted to give him a chance.... then he wiped us 4 times by being in the wrong place and I expelled him from the raid and he eventually gquit >_>

Err, how to do economics? Even before the government tax cut and whether or not to hire another employee.... your scenario implies that you don't understand supply and demand and how a firm reacts to it >_>

I've watched a lot of King of the Hill and I'd say I enjoy it in general but.... it takes too much build up for most of it's good moments and jokes. Sure they are good moments, but they aren't AMAZING. And it's really easy to see why someone wouldn't like the show or give it a chance.
It's certainly not better than the Simpsons, Futurama, or Family Guy.

You guys should probably work on your healthcare system, it's absolute garbage and it's one of the things keeping me from ever moving my career down there.

How does moderators not being allowed to be users even make sense? As far as I know they aren't paid at all, and all this site has going for it is the community and the content the community produces LoL/WoW forums are discussion for a specific game and the moderators are paid to be there. It's their job to represent the company.... whereas mods here are simply volunteering at a place they like to be. If they weren't allowed to post.... what would they even want to be here for?

Facebook often links things you put in your interests to pages that have the same name. Like I put House in my favourite tv shows a long time ago and now it links to the TV shows facebook page.
I imagine that's what happened here, everybody that put Hockey in their interests got linked to this.

Species 8472 (Star Trek: Voyager) Klingons (Star Trek The Next Generation and onwards) The Borg (Star TreK: The Next Generation and onwards) The Weeping Angels (Doctor Who)
How many species are you expecting to allow in? Everything? The top 64? 32?
I'll nominate my fifth after some more thought!

The opening post is almost word for word what another user posted in another topic like a week ago, even ending in the "heh woulda been funny if I told her".
It even had the first reply being "heh it's even funnier when you'll eventually realize it wasn't a girl"
I think you changed the ages by a year or two though.
The other user also had something about guessing the weight of an 18 year old as 100 pounds and getting busted though.

I've read all the books; they are pretty good. Well written with lots of good characters, the Cullens are all awesome and very well done. I strongly dislike Bella, but eh. I can see why fans of the books might like her or identify with her on some level.
I haven't seen the movies.... I guess I'll have to see them at some point. Maybe they are just as bad as people say. The books, however, are not.

epic sax guy is especially hilarious to me because his mannerisms and body type are like the exactly the same as a roommate I had. That guy was so weird. Any time I show epic sax guy to someone that knows that guy they immediately make the connection too!

Funny seeing this topic, I had a similar dilemma with a girl this summer..... except she's already done highschool... yet doesn't turn 18 until November.
I didn't go for it :\

The layout of the site is designed with no avatars or sigs in mind. I think the site has done fine without them and doesn't need to be redesigned to accommodate them. Almost every other forum on the internet has signatures and such all over the place, it's not going to kill you for this one not to have them.

People abuse the hell out of Avatar and Sig space and I've always been glad that GameFAQs hasn't brought them in. It's just such a clean and functional look, and always has been.
