yeah i've been meaning to get on chief keef's mixtape - i'm from chicago - and the kanye remix but i haven't heard either. i've been pretty much exclusively listening to the beastie boys since MCA passed.

never realized krit put out another mixtape! his style isn't my favorite but I should check it out nonetheless.

I know very little about OKC as a city - my perception of the thunder is a little altered because I was disappointed the sonics were leaving seattle in the first place. woulda loved to see this fantastic thunder team in seattle. where are your roots?

also to both of you/anyone else interested in music - what's been your favorite stuff so far this year? I think burial's ep is the best thing to come out in two years. i also like the offerings from cloud nothings, schoolboy q and sleigh bells, and i've been really digging asap rocky and kendrick lamar from last year.

as for me - freshman in college, finals, etc. should have gotten straight a's this semester, but since i kind of suck at time management i'll end it with a few b's. i'd be willing to just say "freshman year, doesn't matter" but I don't want to get lazy next year - I have a more demanding schedule last year.

congrats on graduating sess! i think your train of thinking makes sense, I wouldn't want to live in OKC or DC either

It's been a while since I last rolled though, had a terrible experience with the last one and the thought of serotonin syndrome basically made me swear off of it for good. Definitely happy with all of the experiences I had during rolls, but I'm sticking to psychedelics now, even the green bothers me.

oh yeah? I personally love mixing green with psychedelics, especially dissociatives. enhances it for me and removes some of the nausea on the come up for certain things.

What swore you off it?

also which ones have you tried? I've done shrooms and some of the 2C's.

I was at dev regionals with Brown C.

I feel you about Bentley - I've played their B team with both Brown B (you were there, but probably didn't see us) and Brown C. We lost both of those. their B team didn't really impress me, but I can sense that their A team would be strong.

Dev regionals was only one day. We played 7 games - it was a 7 team round robin, and we also played 5 a side with Williams. Game to 11, 60 minute soft cap, 75 minute hard cap.

We went 0-7, but it was our C team of mostly freshmen versus a bunch of much more experienced B teams, and we had one sub the whole tournament, so we weren't hanging our heads. We gave UNH B, Williams B and Bentley B a run for their money - I think we lost 11-8 to UNH, which isn't bad considering they took some decent teams (Dartmouth B, i think) to universe. Plus we embarrassed UMass B in sectionals to get there. (Was that an especially strong program when you were there?)

On a personal level, my deep puts have started getting good! I converted two nice ones on Saturday while I was primarily playing cutter. I'm happy about that.

Defending against faster cutters is still an issue for me, but I'm getting used to it. That's why we lost to UNH - they had two really fast tall guys and a bunch of mediocre other players.

we were at regionals instead of our B team because our B team made d1 regionals! and our A team didn't, funny enough.

unrelated subject - what's your opinion on trolling/candy flipping? I tried rolling once on the come down from a trip and I hated it - I was still amped from rolling, but I get really self conscious when I'm coming down from a trip especially if I do something stupid.

I felt like I couldn't talk to anyone, which sucked during the roll and after, but I'm sure you have more relevant experience.

I plan to be a professor/researcher one day and I know that in those jobs the actual work time is significantly more than 40 hours per week.

If you want to be paid a decent wage and live comfortably, 40 hr/wk is fine and I don't see how that's too much at all.

alpha pretty much means confidence. you can be kind to girls without being the sniveling nice guy, while still being confident.

the two guys at my school who have the absolute best game I've seen are both wonderful people, but their self-confidence is through the roof. (being tall and athletic doesn't hurt though, particularly when you're 18 and money isn't an issue yet)
