Well regardless, if we weren't counting NXT/Superstars, there'd be a crapload of guys whose only Raw/SD appearances were losing in Brodus Clay squashes, and thus there would be a lot more names on that list.

EDIT: And that reminds me, yes, JTG HAS had a match on Raw in 2012...losing to the Funkasaurus!

So I was looking at the detailed win/loss records for WWE, and I notice that there are 3 regular roster guys who still do not have a televised (or internet televised) win in 2012:

The Miz
JTG
Ezekiel Jackson

To be fair, Zeke does have house show wins. The other 2 do not.

Who will be the last to pick up a win this calendar year?

The conference gets to choose how to distribute their automatic bid anyway. If the Pac-12 wanted to give their bid to their regular season Champion and not do a tournament (like the Ivy League), they are free to.

Well, as Jericho revealed last night, Punk's decision not to drink doesn't just come from some arbitrary decision, it comes from a deep-rooted conviction due to childhood trauma. He already has the belief that alcohol CAUSES problems, not solves them.

Maybe they have a plan for this that has to be put into effect now? Maybe what they have planned for the feud they wouldn't be able to execute properly in the 3 weeks between WM and ER.

Ha! They usually barely are able to come up with enough content to fill 3 weeks of build, I doubt they suddenly have a storyline that will take 6.

Former writer Seth Mates said something on Twitter that I 100% agree with:

The Punk/Jericho storyline is an inherently GOOD one, but right now it's totally not needed. AT ALL.

Why not keep that in your back pocket, do Punk vs. Jericho at WM just with the current "Who is the Best in the World?" build, and then USE THIS ANGLE as a way for Jericho to get a rematch at Extreme Rules after he loses, when they'll actually need to find a way to make it interesting because it's already happened once.

I have no idea why they're throwing this angle in NOW so close to the event. It's proven that it can be done very well, but it just muddies things up when they were going fine.

I'm more getting at, how? Especially Rock Austin 3. I get if you want to say Austin Michaels had a hurt Michaels, and was more about the MOMENT than the match, I'm ok with that. Rock Austin 3 had everything you could ever want, especially in a blow off match.

I think it's a **** match, but all of the other 20 I have in front of it are AT LEAST **** matches. I guess it just didn't "feel" like a stone cold lock (pun intended) compared to some of the rest, possibly due to the fact that they already had a better WM match. Although I guess that doesn't stop both HBK/Taker matches.

Basically it comes down to this: would practically everyone agree that Austin/Rock is one of the 28 best matches in Wrestlemania history? If that answer is yes, then it should be a lock. I just wasn't sure about that, even though *I* think it is, so I just threw it in the mop-up section.

Not-so-Random-Thought

This being the 28th Wrestlemania, I wonder how close of a consensus we could come to the 28 best WM matches of all-time.

No-Brainers
Steamboat vs. Savage (3)
Hogan vs. Savage (5)
Warrior vs. Hogan (6)
Warrior vs. Savage (7)
Hart vs. Piper (8)
Savage vs. Flair (8)
Hart vs. Hart (10)
Ramon vs. Michaels (10)
Michaels vs. Hart (12)
Hart vs. Austin (13)
Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz (16)
Edge & Christian vs. Hardy Boyz vs. Dudley Boyz (17)
Austin vs. Rock (17)
Michaels vs. Jericho (19)
Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Michaels (20)
Angle vs. Michaels (21)
Michaels vs. Flair (24)
Undertaker vs. Edge (24)
Undertaker vs. Michaels (25)
Undertaker vs. Michaels (26)
TOTAL: 20

That leaves 8 spots open.

Here would be my picks, for various reasons:
Hogan/T vs. Orndorff/Piper (1)
Hogan vs. Andre (3)
Austin vs. Michaels (14)
Angle vs. Benoit (17)
McMahon vs. McMahon (17)
Rock vs. Hogan (18)
Rock vs. Austin (19)
Money in the Bank 1 (21)

What do you guys think? Disagree with any of my locks? What would you pick to round out the list?

This is real:

BABY FACES, BLADE JOBS and BOOKING

Everything you wanted to know about writing a professional wrestling show but were afraid to ask.

A SEMINAR HOSTED BY VINCE RUSSO

During the years of 1995-2012, Vince Russo was one of the most controversial figures in the history of sports entertainment/professional wrestling, while serving as the head writer of all three major wrestling companies, WWE, WCW and TNA.

During that tenure, Russo wrote over a thousand televised wrestling shows--which achieved some of the highest ratings of all time-- while also having a hand in helping create some of the biggest stars in the history of the business. From Stone Cold Steve Austin to "The Rock", Russo has written for just about anybody who's anybody in the world of sports entertainment/pro wrestling.

Whether it was in front of the camera, or behind the scenes, Russo has played an influential part in helping to bring the drama of the squared circle to the forefront of American pop culture.

Now, in this limited engagement and for the first time ever, Russo is going to bring the "behind the curtain" aspect of his job, into the spotlight, by sharing his craft and experience with wrestling fans around the world. In his ground-breaking seminar entitled, "Baby Faces, Blade Jobs, and Booking", Russo is going to share first hand, what it takes to be a successful writer in the world of sports entertainment/professional wrestling.

Just some of the topics Russo will be covering in this no-holds-barred presentation:

· Where to get your start in writing for a professional wrestling organization.
· How to use the experience you've built to get in the door of one of the major companies
· How to create larger-than-life personas and personalities
· Writing effective dialogue for specific characters
· How to format a wrestling show
· How to generate new ideas 52-weeks out of the year
· How to present and sell your idea to a talent
· How to create a successful working environment between talent and writer
· Dealing with egos
· Overcoming writer's block
· Avoiding the pitfalls of politics
· How to generate ratings
· The difference between "writing" a show and "booking" a show

Baby Faces, Blade Jobs and Booking; nothing will no longer be sacred!!

Another tag team fun fact not a lot of people know:

If the bell has rung, and no contact has yet been made between opposing teams, tags aren't necessary. The initial legal men are not officially established until someone engages physically with someone from the other team.

I feel like the actual logic behind the rules of wrestling are lost on a lot of wrestlers (and fans!)

The 5-count rule in tag matches is GROSSLY misinterpreted, for example. It doesn't mean the non-legal guy can just come in whenever he wants for 5 seconds, it's only meant to be a buffer off of a tag. Technically, coming in to break up a pinfall should be an automatic DQ (although 99% of the time WWE sticks to an unspoken limit of one per team though).

Technically that stuff isn't allowed on the outside either. Sometimes refs just let things go though.

You can use things inherent to the ring to your advantage (whipping someone into the steps, the post, the barricade, the announce table), but it's still illegal to actually PICK UP the steps or a chair to use them or to clear off the announce table to explicitly put someone through it.

It's funny, for the two-match series between ANX and the Young Bucks at Showdown in the Sun, one of the matches is a Streetfight and the other is a Tornado Tag, and I'm not sure if by rule there's any actual difference between those two stipulations.

Now granted, obviously they have much different CONNOTATIONS, but still. Is there a difference in kayfabe? Can you get DQed in a Tornado Tag? Is there still a legal man in a street fight?
