The entire goal of a politician is to present themselves as being a perfect human who has never committed any wrong in his/her life and is capable of making the best possible decisions in any given situation. Of course this will hurt him, I don't think it'll do much, but his whole career is focused on trying to convince us that he's a great person who knows what is best for the country, and now we find out he was an ******* in high school.

Honestly speaking, I couldn't give a **** less if Anthony Weiner wanted to send girls dick pics, but apparently that makes him unfit to be a member of congress. I wouldn't be surprised if a couple people read this and now think Romney is unfit to be President.

My Anders in Awakening was a charming wise-cracking wizard who was far more likely tell a Templar a joke than blow him up. This disregard for established character paths and in-game illusions of choice really hurt game as well.

In the case of Anders, his merger with Justice basically explains why he is a completely different character than he was in Awakening.

I never advanced that far in the main plotline, but I thought the stuff with that first Jarl that makes you a thane for slaying your first dragon and meeting the greybeards was "dramatic" enough or whatever.

***Minor Side-Quest Spoilers***

Yeah, that was probably the best sequence of the game for me so far... but it doesn't compare favorably with... pretty much any other game I can think of. I don't need FMV or anything, but most games these days can create great cutscenes in-engine and a little camera work to get better angles during conversations would have went a long way.

Things like becoming the Harbinger of the Companions and the Arch-Mage of Winterhold seem like they were supposed to be a big deal, but they just felt incredibly flat. It basically just felt like completing any other quest except they gave me a new "title" at the end. Maybe there are some better scenes later on in the game, but it's hard to get excited about anything when all the interactions use the same stiff motions you see from people walking around the world or in battle.

From: GaryOak151 | #002
you do need delphine for the main quest line

Well, I guess that's the end of my story then. Unless there is a way to reset her aggro on me without paying the bounty or staying in jail... I RP hard and I refuse to back down.

I'll be honest, I didn't think the game was all that great when I first started playing. I had respect for what the game was, but I didn't really find it very "fun". My character is an Archer-Mage so I didn't even know those cinematic kills existed until i started playing it again this week... and I have to admit, they do make things more enjoyable. But I think the major change for me is that my character is finally who I want her to be.

When starting out I just felt really weak since destruction magic was kind of terrible and I could only get a couple of shots off before the enemies were in my face... but things got awesome around the time I finished the Companions quest line and I had more Archery abilities as well as pretty good sneaking along with some summons and Lydia to tank for me. Since then I've focused on Conjuration and now I'm destroying everything with Aela, a Dremora Lord and my Bound Bow.

Still, there are a lot of things about the game that bother me such as the limited amount of money that shopkeepers have per day and the fact that storyline events and important conversations evoke no emotions in me since the engine is just terrible for creating s sense of drama... But it's a better game than I originally gave it credit for. The amount of optional content in the game is beyond incredible.

I'm pretty sure I'm still in the very beginning story-wise since nothing really seems to have happened other than me learning how to shout and killing a couple dragons... I really hope I don't have to complete the quest line with Delphine though, because I accidentally stopped the execution in Solitude (I just wanted to get up there and talk to the dude...) and was then forced to kill all the guards, and now she attacks me on sight.

I loved the game, and yeah you probably do suck.

Not to say that the game isn't hard, it's easily the hardest in the series by a fair margin... but it shouldn't have been so hard that it lowered your opinion of it. You have to read the cues and adjust instantly, I mean sometimes you literally do not have a second to spare when shifting paradigms, but none of it was ridiculously hard.

Glad to see you enjoyed it more than most, at least,

Yeah, you're not missing much.

unrelated subject - what's your opinion on trolling/candy flipping? I tried rolling once on the come down from a trip and I hated it - I was still amped from rolling, but I get really self conscious when I'm coming down from a trip especially if I do something stupid.

I felt like I couldn't talk to anyone, which sucked during the roll and after, but I'm sure you have more relevant experience.

If I ever do mix (which I don't do often) I try to time it in a way that allows me to come down from both at around the same time, or finish the roll while still tripping so that the "afterglow" period is still quite interesting, even if it tends to be more on the introspective side. I would never try it the other way around since I want to be rolling at the peak of any experience rather than using it to cap off a night.

It's been a while since I last rolled though, had a terrible experience with the last one and the thought of serotonin syndrome basically made me swear off of it for good. Definitely happy with all of the experiences I had during rolls, but I'm sticking to psychedelics now, even the green bothers me.

As lame as Phoenix is, I'm finding it both awesome and hilarious that Mike Smith has lead the team to the conference finals. I remember a few years back playing NHL 08 with my buddies and I would often pick Tampa whenever I got bored of the Nucks. Despite being like a 75 in that game Mike Smith was always godly for me, leading to much outrage from my friends as well as giving him the name "God Smith" as an inside joke because he was never anything special in real life, but he kicked ass in that game for some strange reason.

...and now he's actually awesome in real life.

Yeah, that's generally how I give money to the people that matter. Concert tickets and merch. If I buy music, it's going to be from Beatport where I can get the quality I need, or in physical form where I can rip the quality I need.

I mean I love supporting the artists and buying movies that I enjoy, but only if they add something to make the purchase worthwhile. I mean everyone knows that you can get any movie out there for free and if you aren't into piracy there are always things like Netflix. Now movies are kind of expensive these days (especially with a service like Netflix existing) but if you add a commentary track and a couple special features, I'm going to buy the Blu-Ray, it just seems like a fair deal. Same thing with music and special editions.

So I have about $30 to spend on iTunes and I want to get rid of it... but why buy a new release in HD for $25 when I can pick up the Blu-Ray and receive a physical copy (and possibly a digital one as well) for the same price?

The music they sell is terrible (why pay for anything in 256?) and the movies are overpriced. Any good documentaries or rare movies that you can suggest? I'm into pretty much everything.

There are definitely parts of it I enjoy. Every time I start it, the first minute or so makes me wonder why I have it so low and that I should give it a fairer chance. And then **** hits the fan.

Actually, it's a lot better than I remember listening to it now. And I had already bumped it up from the bottom five. Maybe I was too hasty with this last batch. Well, just Ladi Dadi. Those other four definitely remain where they are. Maybe it's a case of the song getting better on repeated listens? This must be my fourth or fifth time now.

Man, you're terrible for my already giant ego. No joke, I would have bet money on you liking it more on a second listen. It's often the case with me for electronic music, and as a DJ I spend A LOT of time listening to music over and over again trying to find out why something is good, and which parts I should highlight. I know there are certain elements of electro that can be annoying, but there is definitely something melodic (and I just love the vocals) in that song that kept me coming back to it.

Definitely curious to see what you have to say about the rest, as I find trance takes a little more.... patience, to enjoy.
