I mean, I haven't finished yet, so I don't have the full picture, but so far it's just paradox after paradox. It's annoying.

When it's over I'm gonna Google a family tree and have a good laugh. Hell, based on what I've seen, I'm assuming if/when the loop gets fixed, 95% of the characters are gonna disappear because they came about through time travel.

Then again, there's still things like Noah not aging (or maybe his old version hasn't been introduced and he's just hopping back and forth willy nilly) and Claudia getting shotgunned but then showing up alive and well.

Or maybe that shit is possible because of the loop, idk. We'll see I guess.

Everything is fully explained. It's shocking, but this is like the only case I can think of where all the time travel stuff makes sense in the end.

The Korean War was an aggressive action by the North, so I wouldn't exactly call the US response unjustifiable.

Korea was literally the United Nations vs. North Korea (later with Chinese and covert Soviet help). The US took a leading role but it didn't need to justify it when the world was largely on the side of the South. That wasn't the case for Vietnam. That was the case for the Gulf War (even the Soviets supported Kuwait against Iraq).

Most, but not all. There are still classified sections of the 9/11 commission related to Saudi Arabia. Their role was likely such that the public would have been outraged if they knew the depth of involvement. Further proof it was all about geopolitics and not revenge for 9/11.

Season 3 was one of the most obvious padding to extend something popular seasons of a show I have ever seen. Really down on the show currently.

Even if you only care about US geopolitical interests and are amoral concerning war and its consequences, the result is bad for the US because Iraq went from being an ideological enemy of Iran and radical groups like ISIS to having large, powerful factions friendly to one or the other. It's essentially a hotbed of US geopolitical enemies now.

The ending is actually satisfying which is shocking I know. You can tell they actually planned everything out and didn't use any filler (unlike Lost).

I saw the Bayonetta review but I think she deleted it because it was too obvious she didn't actually play or even watch another person play it.

And I hate Biden. I think he's shit. But I also care somewhat about the state of the world and the people in it and as such don't fantasize about some burn it all down scenario. The reality is Trump winning will be worse for pretty much everyone, even many of his supporters.

Cool, you have some personal connections. Most people in Taiwan still consider themselves Taiwanese and don't want to be part of China. Taiwan was the origin of Polynesian people and was later colonized by Chinese, but only part of China for a portion of the Qing dynasty. It had also been colonized by the Dutch and Spanish prior to the Qing. Modern Taiwanese people largely do not want to become part of China (most preferring the status quo or formal independence) and are overwhelmingly pro-Japan. The native people of Taiwan are a very small portion of the population, but young people today even of Chinese descent mostly identify as Taiwanese and not Chinese.

It has some annoying mechanics, but I think it's enjoyable still.

Yeah, is also really obsessed with XBox for some reason. People in China tend to hate XBox, but he is a Westerner of Chinese descent if I remember correctly. Let's say hypothetically that Joe Biden's position on Israel costs him X votes in the right places and he then loses by < X votes. You can go all out blaming the X voters for that, but if Biden could have made different decisions that lost him fewer votes (for example, he's made decisions that go *beyond* what your average Biden-supporting Israel-defending Liberal would demand) and changed the outcome, it's still his fault far more than it is any individual who didn't vote for him.

As someone who will vote for Biden in a state that will almost certainly go for him regardless of my input, it's still annoying for me to see people micro-target people who are like "actually this might negatively impact how likely I am to vote for Biden" if they're not going to make a case that Biden will lose *more* votes by taking [different position]. The Biden administration should be actively trying to win the election rather than just saying "Trump would be worse" and hoping that helps them cross the finish line.

The idea that the Democratic candidate can be as **** as they want to if they're facing Trump is just as dumb as 2016 when I voted for Hillary (though in Nebraska so it was basically worthless).

I think he would absolutely lose more votes by going against Israel because the US populace is thoroughly inundated with pro-Israel propaganda. Democrats largely have the Jewish vote locked down as is and a number of powerful donors and PACs supporting him that he would risk losing by going against Israel. I would argue that is the Democrats primary motivation for continuing to support them.

He would likely lose more votes by not supporting Israel. The US is overwhelmingly biased toward Israel.

The thing with Kojima is he makes a couple good predictions but jams a ton of schlock, pseudoscience, and women with tortured pasts who don't like clothes in there too. Everyone tends to ignore the latter and focus on the correct predictions and call him a genius. I find it's best to just play the games and enjoy them rather than try to think super hard about the story.

Your premise doesn't make sense. The upset people you point to are on ResetEra, but those same people also had the same issues with Bayonetta and 2B. They were always upset with female character designs like this, this is just the newest example.

Honestly the whole thing could have ended with Shadowbringers and I would have been satisfied. Those MSQ patch quests were great.

I'd say OoT is one though. Far from saying it's a bad game, I just don't think it will register the same for someone playing it for the first time today. It just wouldn't have that wow factor that was so much part of the experience when playing it in 1998.

The N64 version is really hard to play because the frame rate and draw distance are awful, but the 3DS version is great.

We do that at my house. I think every kitchen here outside of an apartment has a spot for this. You really don't need a very big fridge in Japan. Also Americans tend to buy a huge pile of groceries all at once whereas we like to get fresh stuff a few times a week.

My nieces love Mario but you can play as Peach in like all the good Mario games now so I can't see them caring about this. I think they tried going in a different direction but the end result wasn't very interesting.

Maybe, but all the coolest ideas are in books 2 and 3. There are absolutely no interesting characters though. Also the sexism gets pretty blatant in the latter books. I enjoyed them for the concepts and to see what would happen. It's a divisive series.

I just read the first book over the past few days since I'd been meaning to for a while and the TV series motivated me to stop procrastinating and I was not particularly thrilled. felt like I read a plot/concept outlinefor a story rather than an actual proper novel; bbasically none of the characters have any personality and things just constantly happen out of nowhere with little warning or explanation. feels like there's probably some good core idea there but as it is the book is basically nonsense

The entire series is a concept series. It doesn't really have interesting characters. They tried to fix that with the Netflix show and it's debatable if that worked, but the main plot points are there, so I think it's fine. I personally enjoy a lot of the ideas in the trilogy but don't actually consider it well written fiction. Would be better as like the background lore to a fiction setting or something.
