ai will never replace people like novelists or poets because ai just isnt capable of human creativity and the quality of ai writing is just vastly inferior to that of people

it is definitely concerning though in the way that companies are using ai to replace some level of artistic jobs typically reserved for people. stuff like box art for games and some aspects of script writing. at this point you can tell that ai stuff in that regard is far lower quality than stuff made by humans, but as the technology improves and companies use more and more human made art to 'train' and tweak the ai we will likely see more of the lower level stuff being outsourced.

why is nobody asking why it happened in the first place? Israel encroaching on the West Bank and stealing settlements wholesale from the Palestinians. Jailing, beating, maiming, killing kids. Forcing an entire group of people into whats essentially a walled city, limiting their movements for years.

It's not like I just made it up. Those are the stories they told. I can't speak on stories from after I stopped making making the threads. At the time though, there were no firsthand accounts of rape by freed hostages and the Red Cross also checked and cleared them. Hostages were returned in good health without evidence of assault. The Israeli government said after the fact that hostages were beaten, raped, and killed in captivity. Completely contrary to what the Red Cross said. Like the little girl they claimed was raped and killed but was actually alive and totally fine.

the inflation we have been experiencing has been global (and hit most other places much harder). part of it is due to covid shutting the world down for a year and then consumerism going buckwild globally, and part is due to the war in ukraine caused by vlad pootin and supported by the gop.

progressive policy in the us would be something like investing in green energy much more or regulating insurance/healthcare better and those would both drive tons of good paying domestic jobs. some inflation is inevitable, but massive inflation in a country with a stable currency and economy is p much always cyclical and rare and brought on by outside circumstances. the us government could invest in a massive public works program and education and healthcare without any negative consequences other than raising taxes on the top 10%. it probably won't happen because our congress is so broken and gerrymandered and the senate is fixed for the minority party, but it could be done and only benefit americans

i would give it an 8/10. it was really good imo and better than i expected. the story wasn't quite as focused as i would have hoped for, but it tied most everything together and every aspect of it was good quality

I see. I remember they announced it right around the time I was debating whether to buy the ps1 games on ps3 before the psn store gets shut down.

on the official site it says it got pushed back but is still in development and other articles i saw mentioned similar things with no official release date. i have 2 on ps3 and still have physical copies of the rest of them. replayed 3 recently and it is really great still imo

2 is the best of the series to me but all of them aside from 4 are just really great

Speaking as a writer, I feel it depends on how significant the detail really is. If it's a throwaway line about something that doesn't really come up elsewhere, then I think it's fine to discard it. Better still if it can be spun as something that was misunderstood or misrepresented. But if whole character arcs or major plot events hinge on something being true, it's a problem if that thing is ignored.

Personally, I always try (but don't always succeed) to come back to any little details I might have messed up about and work that error into the story. So, like, if I say at one point that only elves can use a certain kind of magic, then forget all about that and write a dwarf using it, I might then turn around and make it ~a whole thing~ that a dwarf used this supposedly elf-only magic, and what it could mean. I'd go so far as to say that forgetting a lore detail until it's too late to fix it is a great way to add a twist that keeps the story moving~

i think this is a perfect mentality to have on this. the most hardcore fans will always overreact to anything they view as a departure from the headcanon they have crafted, but the most important thing is just being consistent with the most important core elements of the lore and if something in the future contradicts it there should be a logical explanation.
