It's already outperforming part 1 by like double. Split the difference and $700 mil is probably an easy target at this point. Especially with literally nothing else in theaters.

You could be right, but the vast majority of movies struggle to beat a 3x multiplier nowadays (many are 2.5x). And there is competition this month with Kung Fu Panda, Ghostbusters, and Godzilla x Kong, but admittedly it is only Kung Fu Panda until March 22nd.

This movie does have enough insanely high word of mouth (Cinemascore, IMDB, Letterboxd) that it could very well beat that 3x multiplier, but I still conservatively put it at 3.25x.

Honestly Im pretty sure movies have been so bad for so long now that its dumbed down our expectations for what we consider a good movie.

Dune is somewhat popular, but it's nowhere near the popularity of LotR. The reviews don't reflect that, and I didn't see Dune sweeping the awards shows like LotR.

Oscar-wise, Dune didn't quite live up to FotR, but I guarantee Dune Part 2 will best Two Tower's performance. Dune Messiah will likely NOT live up to RotK though.

Ya beat me. But I don't think it will have a multiplier like Oppenheimer, as it is more of a known entity and a sequel

$190 million. It will need about $500 million to break even. I predict a 3.25 multiplier on its worldwide opening, so it will make close to $600 million.

I'm not that impressive. It's machine and combined weight for both arms. But I was at 75 pounds for curls like 6 months ago.

To be fair LoTR is pretty hard to watch. Over 3 hours without a break.

It's not a problem for those who watch it in home system, but it was hard on theater.

I had zero issue watching them in a theater. I actually don't know anyone who had an issue.

I don't order delivery anyway. We cook or go out to eat. Very occasionally get takeout like Chinese.

I mostly only play story based games, because I like them to definitively end. And most are 30 to 60 hours, so I feel I get my money's worth. And games like Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Tears of the Kingdom, and Baldur's Gate 3 went north of 100 hours.

I think you'll enjoy it much more. If you come away from that with "boring" then I'm not sure what to tell ya.

Just don't expect Zithers to have good taste about any movie from 1970 onward and you will not be disappointed.

The dude does know his Golden Age of Hollywood though. I'll give him that.

Villeneuve is only interested in Messiah. Or at least as far as he let on. But if someone like Yorgos directed God Emperor, I could be down for that.

The divorced woman with her 20 something daughter will definitely be a good neighbor. I think the family on the other side will be okay too, even if he gave me republican vibes. But we won't have anything to argue about in terms of property lines and probably no noise issues. I heard it is a VERY quiet neighborhood

I've met the neighbors on both sides. Looks like everything should be cool, and the yards are big enough that we aren't on top of each other.

I don't think I appreciated living in a house enough in the past, maybe because my ex wife was annoying. I think it will be very different this time, and my new wife is super excited, as she has never owned a home before.

Finally moving into a house on Saturday. I can't stand having apartment neighbors anymore. And looking very forward to chilling on my deck.

I would definitely recommend buying an optional controller for TV use (I use a Pro, but I doubt it matters too much so long as the controller isn't just a scam). The joycons are good enough for handheld, but I think that they kind of suck for use on the TV.

The controls seemed pretty chill when my wife was playing the demo. Admittedly, she was playing handheld
