As he grows older he slips further and further down the conservative rabbit hole and is getting actively aggressive about things rather than passive aggressive. A few months ago he had a huge meltdown because I closed the kitchen door so I could turn on the light without waking up the birds in the dining room, and instead said that I should do my cooking in the dark with only a tiny light above the stove to see with -- knowing that I have night blindness. When I asked what the problem was with me closing the kitchen door, all he said was "Because I said so!" This is just one example, I could fill a topic with shit he's said to me, about me, or around me that cause me to drift further and further away and actively avoid being around him as much as possible. So yeah, not a good relationship with my father at all. |

The Crow wasn't a singular person in the movies and the role kept changing -- this could have just been set up as a fifth movie instead. On the other hand, it's been 20 years since the last movie was released, and 30 years since the original. That seems like a reasonable amount of time to reboot a franchise that's been completely on ice. It's not like they're rebooting something that just came out. Especially when you consider how bad every other film in the series was after the first. |

The program runs a bit sluggishly, and after an initial crash while inputting data, it seemed to be working okay until I tried to save. Every time I hit the save icon (which I've been doing more often this morning due to the crashing) it's a crapshoot on whether it saves or crashes again, and despite the program saying it's going to recover the document, it only recovers it up to the previous save and not the save that caused the crash. I tried checking for an update, but it says it fails to find one. Version 4.1.7 for reference. Haven't yet tried other programs to see if it crashes on those as well. |
