The reason members of a government don't publicly use the word "genocide", is because speaking this word aloud in an official capacity constitutes responsibility to act against it.

The United Nations came to an agreement that in the event of genocide, the member states would do whatever they could to end or prevent it.

So once someone official says it is, they have to act on that.

So they just don't say it.

Even when it's happening before our very eyes.

I played it for about three hours all together when it came out.

It's a fantastic idea and a great collection.

It is just unfortunately for me, completely out of step with how I play video games (which feeds a lot into how I write guides).

I wanted to COMPLETE Barbuta before I moved on to anything else.

I eventually relented and played six other games.

And then something else came out and fixated on that (cannot remember what).

Always have a backup.

This site costs pennies to run so it's in no one's best interest to remove them.

Furthermore, since the guides have been established as the writers' intellectual property, they cannot be put behind a paywall without the writers' approval, and indeed, a cut.

The lyrics as written are real Aline and Renoir, but Painted Aline and Renoir are joining in, underlining that a Painted person is in many ways beholden to who they were created on.

Thinking on it, I'm thinking it's a retcon.

Which is not to say that someone can't BS explain it away and say "oh averting the Last Stranding means that the Death Stranding was resolved for a time but it's not truly gone".
