When you go back. Do more training on technique for the first month or two. The reason, you want to create a habit, your muscle memory will start developing, your body will adapt to the form. When you think you are ready, do pyramids as sets. Check your form and balance.

This is what I always say but people get bored. Two months on technique and form will save you headaches. Proper form will always outclass the weight applied.
Agreed

I've spent a stupid amount of time looking at this topic and here's your answer:

Time you rest is completely arbitrary. You should rest for however long you need to recover between sets. This will depend on the exercise and the goal. Smaller muscles for hypertrophy movements require less rest. Bigger muscles and compound lifts and particular for strength - more rest.

If you're doing some lateral raises or wrist curls or something, you may only need 30 seconds of rest.

If you are doing squats, you'll need a few minutes.

If your primary goal is maximal strength, e.g. you're a powerlifter and you're doing squats, you may need upwards of 6 to 10 minutes between sets.

In summary, go again when you are ready to complete the work you've set out. If you feel completely prepared to hit those 10 lat pulldowns again and you're just randomly waiting for the timer to hit 0, maybe just go already.

A caveat I will say is that keeping your rests consistent gives you a better idea of your current conditioning. If you are setting out 2 minutes to rest between each set of squats but every time the timer runs out you are still out of breath, you know your conditioning sucks and you need to work on that.
Great post, I agree. Especially with the bolded. Go as soon as you're ready. That length of time varies by person and by the exercise, and by what you're training for.

I personally catch my breath as quickly as possible and get right back to it. 30 seconds to a minute max generally. I prefer to be as quick and productive as possible and that helps me be more intense too.

I cut lots of body fat (nutrition), and built up my triceps and shoulders decently well so it's not very noticeable. The faster you lose lots of weight the more loose skin you'll have. I don't know if surgery is the only option but it may depend on how much you have.

Banks often don't actually have THAT much physical money either on premises. They often have time locks on larger boxes/vaults, and/or simply don't have copies of personal box keys too.

They intentionally make it so you can't get much even if you try to rob them. This generally works pretty well, as old fashioned bank heists are rare and nowadays are typically done by lone idiots in a ski mask.

My problem was also that once the novelty of exploring and interacting with the locations I recognized from the movies wore off, I quickly tired of the game. I also didn't like the combat and turned it to easy just so I wouldn't have to bother so much with it, and so it became a chore to play.

Same issue with Witcher 3, which felt fine at launch but then I played Souls games and realized W3's combat was trash just like everybody said it was when it came out lol

Anyway, the combat not being enjoyable really hurts the game for me. I'd like to play through it but I don't know if I ever will. I didn't get very far, maybe 10-15 hours worth and gave up.

LoveLikeJazz

Make it part of your schedule, not something you have to fit into your schedule. It's just something you do, like showering or eating, not something you need to make time for.

Ask most people who go to the gym or work out regularly when they do it, they'll tell you generally the same time every day. Either in the morning before they start their day, after work, maybe after they've finished all their other home duties but before bed, whatever. It's usually the same time every day. That helps.

It really only takes an hour, and some of the busiest people in the world find a way to spend time exercising. If you can't do it then you're likely making excuses and/or just not being smart with your time. Maybe you don't know what to do, but if that's the case then youtube is your friend. If you were given only one car to use for the rest of your life, you can bet that you'd take care of it. Why not treat your body the same way? I've been there, I used to be super lazy and unmotivated (and fat), but I also know that during that time I was making excuses and finding every reason or justification not to work out. But I was living in pain every day from being weak. If you never move and you find that you have soreness in areas, I can guarantee you the way to fix it is not to continue resting lol unless you're so far gone that surgery is the answer. But usually some sort of yoga or light movements (aka physical therapy) will get you sorted on the right track. "Use it or lose it" is true.

And if you're not interested in being jacked, don't worry. You won't just wake up one day accidentally looking like Arnold. But your body will feel better from just 3 or 4 days a week - and eating right, but that's a whole other set of paragraphs. Speaking of Arnold, I remember a quote (and I'm paraphrasing) where somebody said to him "I would never want to look like you" and he responded with "don't worry, you never will."
