Even with a yearly subscription, consoles are cheaper for a long time. A real gaming PC is like 1500 minimum, with 2k being where they're actually good.

The average I've seen prebuilt gaming PCs to keep most folks happy is at most $1,200 on average, and sometimes even lower.
Also you missed the part where myself and others said that said gaming PC are a long-term investment (meaning can go through at least a couple or more gaming generations without having to upgrade, and if one does upgrade a part, can extend it even further).

I bought a medium-priced Alienware like 9 years ago, which means it's probably actually atleast 10 years old, and it still runs new stuff just fine, so I've just never really bothered to get into anything fancier.

And if it's still chugging along just fine now to your satisfaction? Congrats! You got what you paid for and then some.

I want to move to PC gaming b/c Sony went to shit (Xbox always was) and Nintendo doesn't get / can't handle lots of games.
I don't give a single flying fuck about super high resolution or high FPS (steady 30 or 60 is fine), I don't play resource hog AAA western games for the most part...
I just want something that will play games and not need to be replaced for 8-10 years.
But the "community" is geared towards "oh, with this rig you can do all these neat lighting effects...." like dude, I don't fucking care.

Though if you got a set budget, I'd say go for it and go nuts.

So filled with hate and terrified of "the gays" all to "protect" their kids, those two were willing to put themselves and their kids in more abject danger to move to a repressive country.

I honestly fear for the poor kids. No say in the matter and now their quality of life is in the stinker cuz the dad feared gay people that much.

People do kind of forget that, building a PC for gaming, even if it's just going to be used primarily for gaming, is still a more long-term investment in the grand scheme of things, as that person will be able to usually go through a number of console generations before having to upgrade any parts (if at all).

Also, remember, if that person also wants to, there's a huge backlog of various games that have been released on PC one can grab and MAYBE have to tinker with to get to playability, if so inclined.

And on top of being much easier to multi-task with other stuff, too.

Due to the above and how most games are going on PC at the same time as consoles, it's why I went all-in on PC gaming and don't have any of the recent consoles.

The kids will need to be rescued from the "parents."

It's an OK manga, but it suffers from chapter to chapter writing with no real forethought that plagues a lot of series like it. I've never seen the anime, but it looks extremely janky. I remember watching one OVA or movie that had some pretty good animation.

Well, old anime is old, as in 1984-88 old, so yeah the animation wasn't terribly great, but on-par for animated stuff back then.

The 1986 animated movie had budget, so yeah they went all-out with that one.

Honestly, if they are redoing the anime (which it sorely needs), they could use that to iron out the plot and seal up any holes (so that depending on how far the new anime does go, they could mesh everything together to be far more coherent).

Yeah, that I can critique the general story on because after Raoh bites it hardcore, the authors had to keep going with something.
The Gento arc was fine enough, but comic book-tier retcons that followed when Ken got to the Land of Shura was fairly kooky and reeked of the writers making up shit just to keep the story going.
There's a reason the anime ended right after Shura when Kaioh bites it...

Anime does some scenes that are meme-worthy and still a bit of a fun watch (at times).
I mean, can't beat the early season scene of Kenshiro beating up a tank.

Middle-to-low income on average.
Middle school was still rowdy at times, but not where it felt excessively so.
Same with high school I went to, but it was far smaller and more specialized in terms of teaching style and having more course specialties that involved technology and business. Neither one are private.

Uncommon in both schools I went to.
Middle school was infrequent (a lot of the nonsense and energy were mostly the boys brawling in the gym locker rooms due to wrestling being super huge around those times).

High school even less-so. Maybe once a month at the most?

It's basically propaganda, to make people think that they want to hire people but just can't find anyone. Look up 'Ghost Jobs', it's an actual trend where companies will keep job postings up in order to maintain the appearance that they're trying to fill positions to assure their employees that they're trying to lessen their workload as well as provide plausible deniability for why their businesses are consistently understaffed.

Short staffing is causing a lot of trouble for the country and it is an unnecessary step taken simply to maximize corporate profit. It is the opposite of creating jobs. It puts more work on the workers (for no pay raise) and gives the customers a worse experience because theres nobody to help them and everything is rushed

Was chatting about this subject in a Discord server about why some people want to defend corporations whenever there is a decision made or practice done that other people disagree with (maybe vehemently so).

Is there any particular reason as to the why some people do that?

Is it that certain brand (like say, with video game companies) that person likes but for some reason takes it personally when someone professes dislike (due to whatever reason)?

I've been wondering this a bit, especially when politics (...) are involved and people who aren't millionaires get overly defensive when a certain brand is "attacked" despite seeing no tangible benefit in wanting to go on a limb to defend them, especially in online discourse.

Is it just to make themselves feel better? I've heard the term "temporarily embarrssed millionaires" but it doesn't jive with me that some people believe that. I don't think some of said people are going to think they'll get ANYTHING from big business, hence why I'm wondering what else it could be to invoke such a strong reactionary defense.

Yeah, some of the much older RPGs were pretty bad with completion, and even worse if you were playing something that's either required for a multiple ending or to even continue, but because the player missed that one little pixel of a place they should have searched, they're basically screwed.

The "resolution" means nothing, especially if Agent Orange gets convicted anyway.
