Plus if you're playing 1P mode (or really any Grand Prix mode where you're doing multiple races and playing for points), hitting your main CPU rival (the one that is usually tailing you, and usually will be closest to you in points) right before the finish line can cause them to lose positions and help you cement a lead. |

The primary thing that Pokemon Gold/Silver is known for, for instance -- springing the world of the previous game on the player as a surprise when you think you've beaten the game? That's something DQ3 did waaaaay before Pokemon. I could nitpick a number of other things on the list, but that's the main standout "wtf" to me. |

It's not like his sexuality was ever made a plot point in the books; it would only come off as a "retcon" to a reader having assumed he was straight or "asexual" or whatever else (despite the books never saying anything one way or the other). This would be like suggesting it would be a "retcon" for a Disney character to be revealed to be very much heterosexual, just because the movie they were featured in never indicated they had any sexual inclinations whatsoever. I wouldn't usually consider something a retcon unless it's some new piece of information that completely flies in the face of previously established information. Key word being established, not just inferred. Here's something to think about: would anyone be calling this a retcon if JKR revealed that Dumbledore was straight instead? Somehow, I doubt it. |

Well duh, of course it's going to be that. Don't know why anyone is suspecting otherwise. Lumiose was already a contentious city even from the original games it debuted in. Loads of people did not care for its sprawling confusing layout, and there was even that game breaking bug that caused players to be permanently stuck in it that they had to release a patch for. There is no way they'd make this place an entire game. This isn't FF7 Remake. |

Also confused at people who seem to think the game is going to take place entirely in a city. They just wanted to make it crystal clear that Kalos is the setting and that Lumiose is the "hub town" that will presumably be built up throughout the game, much like Jubilife was in the previous game. Obviously there's going to be other areas to explore; we just don't know what any of them are yet because no gameplay footage was shown. |

I use male/female indiscriminately when I want to refer to people without regard to relative age groups (not everyone who is male/female is necessarily a man/woman, for instance). The most frequent way this occurs to me is when I'm talking about my experiences in high school (a rather pivotal/depressing era of my life, so it comes up in conversation quite a lot) in which case I will often refer to my "male/female peers". Rest assured that I'm not using it in that creepy Ferengi sort of way. |

I can't even walk down most aisles in planes without having to walk sideways or regularly hitting my head. It's really better off for me to remain seated, and the window seat lets me do that more easily. Regardless, I don't do "long haul" flights. Never needed/wanted to fly that far. |

Aisle seat would generally mean I'd have to get up more. On the subject of resisting having to pee, that's also something that comes far more easily if I remain seated. |
