Hmm...the power to shape world history is rather tempting. Sending down a plague of granola to end any war is hard to pass up. In some ways, it's almost like having a Death Note of sorts, but with the added benefit of being able to feed people too. Damn, I don't know what to do. I'd be afraid of being consumed by this amount of power. The 100 mil might be safer.

The recent resurgence in interest in the N64 hardware has been incredibly interesting to see out on Youtube. There are people making use of modern tricks to push the hardware further than devs could at that time. Some cool stuff to see, out there!

Here's an interesting example of that, where they tricked the hardware into producing hi-res textures. You couldn't make a full game with this technique, but it's impressive nonetheless.

I think conker is probably the best looking N64 game. But the following generation was such a jump that I don't think there's any N64 games you could mistake for GameCube games.

Closest you can get is probably something like Paper Mario, just because of the art style. Same deal with Wind Waker still looking great to this day.

Here's the most concise argument for pro-life:

A fetus is a human because it has human DNA. No, hair follicles or random appendages are not human by that logic because they have no potential to form into a fully grown person.

We know a fetus is alive because it's not dead. To say it's dead is to make the claim that dead things can come back to life.

The stage of pregnancy is ultimately irrelevant. If you want to use the "it's not human, it's a clump of cells" argument, then you would have to be able to pinpoint the exact moment this metamorphosis from non-human to human takes place, which is not possible.

So to summarize, an abortion prevents a living human from, well, growing up. Now, if you want to make justifications for it, that's another story, just like how killing in self defense can be justifiable. But from a biological standpoint, abortion is by its very nature the termination of life. There's no argument that skirts around that.

I can tell if any given object will fit within a certain space without having to measure it. Unfortunately I don't know how to monetize this talent.

I never bother to 100% anything anymore. It's often just too tedious. The only games I've ever 100% are Zelda OoT/MM, Kingdom Hearts 1, and Resident Evil 4 and 5. And maybe a few older platformers and Mario Karts where you're only beating things and not collecting items.

As someone who hasn't followed DB since the end of DBZ (I bailed real fast on GT when I saw how much it sucked), watching DBS made me feel as giddy as a kid again. The ToP was just really well done and seeing Goku achieve UI filled me with the same anticipation and awe of seeing him go SS for the first time. In comparison, the SW sequel trilogy sucked real bad. I prefer the prequels by a large margin.

Anything by John Williams is a correct pick. But my personal pick is the Jurassic Park theme. But I might be a bit biased since it's my favorite movie.

My grandfather used to say it's the most dangerous addiction there is. With alcohol/drugs, you'll either pass out or die long before you go broke. But with gambling you can lose your entire livelihood in an instant. And it's even worse if you have a family that depends on you. It's not like you can go into rehab and get all your money back.

I'm a bit disappointed. A remake of a remake? They should have continued with RE5/CV. REmake was already extremely well done. The other titles stand to benefit much more.

50x read speed offers the most value by far, assuming I can retain the information like usual. I love to learn, so this is a no-brainer.

It's still the best superhero movie by far. With the way the genre is now, it's likely we'll never see it surpassed.

I'm going to go ahead and present the possibility that thinking logically is incredibly difficult while freezing to death during the aftermath of a huge disaster. Earlier in the movie when Jack is talking Rose into not jumping, he describes the water being so cold that you wouldn't be able to breathe or think, essentially foreshadowing what would happen later. When they're in the water, Jack's only objective is saving Rose, so it wouldn't make sense for him to tinker around with his placement on the door. From his perspective, he would only be jeopardizing her life. Both of them were probably counting on a lifeboat to swing by at any moment and just hoping they could hang in there long enough.

Point is, they didn't have the luxury of 20+ years of theorycrafting and scientific testing like us audience members did.

This looks terrible. Like really really terrible. I've never seen an animated show look so lifeless.

Maybe when I retire and need some extra cash.

I've never been there, but I really want to go. I've always been fascinated with Japan ever since I watched the episode of Sesame Street where Big Bird goes there. I had it on VHS and watched it all the time. More than 30 years later, I still have this song stuck in my head lol

Probably, shortly after release. Never got around to playing it on Gamecube, even though I have it. It's still sealed, so opening it now would be a crime and several hundred dollars down the toilet.

There's really not that many foods I dislike, at least out of those that would be considered popular. But if I had to pick one, probably pickles. I hate it whenever they make their way into one of my burgers. They're wet and slimy and I just don't like them.

Is there any trick to not paying a fortune for a flight? From my very brief research, that alone seems like it'll be more than half the cost of the entire trip. Also, how prevalent were English speakers at restaurants and such? Can you really get by on Google Translate for everything?

Try one of the older ones and see how you like that style. You can't go wrong with Castlevania IV on SNES.

As far as the Metroidvanias, Aria is the best one, but it wouldn't hurt going into Circle of the Moon and go through them chronologically because none of them are terrible.

Harmony of Dissonance should be avoided at all cost. That game has the worst map layout of any Metroidvania ever. You do nothing but backtrack everywhere. And the soundtrack was one of the worst I've ever heard in any video game. Which made no sense considering the series has some of the best music you can find in gaming. It was just noise. Nothing but ear grating noise.

But to answer your question, Castlevania IV is a great pick if you want to go the classic route. I'd also suggest Bloodlines which I think is somewhat underrated. As for the handheld titles, Aria is the best, but Circle of the Moon and the DS titles are all pretty great. You can't really go wrong with any of them, except for the aforementioned one.

Whatever his chances actually are, it's absolutely depressing that we have to consider the possibility of Trump winning the presidency.

Rage-bait post aside, I've never understood why people care if a game is exclusive or not. I can't think of a single logical reason.

What about the real world? What's stopping us from incorporating data-collecting machines that exist alongside of us? Machines who learn and adapt to our world through trial and error, in much the same way a toddler would. Think of it as the difference between being locked inside an empty room with nothing but access to Wikipedia, versus actually experiencing the world first hand. Call me a science fiction writer, but I'm a staunch believer that advancements in AI have a long way to go.

T Rex is designed to take down prey as large or larger than an elephant. Elephants have never had to fight anything bigger than they are.

I remember reading that the Rex was more of a scavenger than a hunter. I'm not sure we know how well it would do in head to head combat. And the tusks on that elephant are massive. With the right strike, that could easily be a fatal blow.

you think it flew out of your back pocket? i had some kinda similar with i really had to pee. So couldn't fully enjoy a great roller coaster. Supposedly velocicoaster is like top 5 in the world. You flew down to universal to ride it?

It was in my side pocket. The coaster car was really small and I'm tall, so my legs were almost vertical. I was wearing these loose shorts and it just slipped right onto the seat like I suspected.

Yeah, we flew, which made it even scarier because I don't know how I was going to be able to get back on the plane without an ID. Never experienced such physical and mental anguish at once. Definitely a thrilling ride though. Highly recommended.

Could go either way. Depends on whether the Rex can chomp first or if the elephant can skewer first.
