Yeah I agree with the notion that Odyssey had too many collectibles.

Some of the moons were worse than the eggs in Spyro 3.

I disagree that there's no "reward" from exploring the levels and getting the collectables in cool fast ways.

It's good game design, it rewards skilled players without punishing less skilled ones. It would not be improved if they put moons in bullshit locations only skilled trick-jumpers could reach.

This is especially true for replay value. There's almost no part in the entire game that drags.

The movement controls and level design are incredible. There's an easy intended path for low skill players but you can also trick jump and explore the maps to pull off incredible rewarding shit if you're good.

None of the other game have this.

I'd say Galaxy is the worst Mario game for having loads in it but not much to do.

Mario 64 - Crappy controls and awful camera, strange level design and loads of bad game mechanics
Galaxy - Super linear and slow. Feels like a slog.
Sunshine - I mean it's Sunshine come on lol

Odyssey took like all the best parts of the franchise so far including the 2D games and put it into one game with immense freedom and smooth great control of both Mario and the camera.

One of those games that you don't appreciate how good it is until you go back to other games.

I saw people die around me as buildings blew apart and I survived for several seconds thinking "This can't be real. If a bomb was dropped on me I would have died instantly."

2nd reboot*

First reboot was Tomb Raider Legend. Which was phenomenal but also mainted gigantic tits and sex appeal.

Also that's not fair. It reviewed and sold great. Most people liked it and while people did complain about the lack of boobs, the biggest complaint was the lack of platforming and combat/set piece focus.

Uncharted was inspired by Tomb Raider and then Tomb Raider was inspired by Uncharted.

Meaning we just got a less good Uncharted. It's not a great game if you're into the platforming

The controls are great. The Grid system was fantastic because it means the entire game is peak skill. If you fuck up a jump, YOU fucked it up.

Later games off the grid in full 3D and automatically grabbing ledges for you had to guess what you were trying to do and what part of the enviroment around you to clip you on. Which was super frustrating because it added RNG or mastery of the awkward game system to platform. Underworld and the 2nd reboot were awful for this.

There's some dated game design in there with unclear level progression/explanation of game mechanics, segments were you're forced to take damage and unforgiving beginners traps.

But on the whole the games hold up really well aside from early 3D graphics. They were and are incredible platform games.

About the only thing I'd say has "bad controls" are the vehicles in TR2.

He didn't do much but he certainly tried to. He made a serious attempt to kill Bee, the Raikage's little brother, then tried to kill the Raikage himself after crashing the Five Kage Summit. Then he tried to kill Karin, Sakura, and Naruto after killing Danzo. Sasuke just wasn't very good at being a villain.

It has a lot of the bad tropes anime used to have.

Tons of pointless filler.
Lazy animation.
Long stills on characters standing sitll or barely moving while long conversations play out.
Recaps and "next time on"s
Inconsistency in animation style between episodes and sometimes even scenes
Characters repeating what's going on multiple times for no reason

You could cut out like 68% of the show and only make it better.
It's hard to go back to by mondern standards. It needs like a DBZ Kai/DBZA.

It makes sense. Naurto is an emotionally stunted kid who is obsessed with making friends

The show goes over this many times. Sasuke is a dick but Naurto would have done the same thing for Gaara or Rock Lee. They're his friends
