DirecTV and Dish are the only alternative TV options.

Dish isn't a real option because they don't offer necessary RSN's.

DirecTV sucks as far as what they offer but is the only real competition to Spectrum.

Sounds like you've already navigated the situation in a way that works for you, regardless!

The problem is Spectrum handles home phone/TV/internet.

But Frontier no longer handles TV.

So it would have to be a split from multiple services to leave completely.

Back when we had actual real competition for TV it would be nice and available.

The best offer I was able to get was to lower my internet to $41.25 for 1 gig down. Which was enough for me to keep Spectrum(Frontier gig was 64.99 + 100 gift card). Previous bill was $44 for 500 down.

TV price in this offer raised slightly but also offered a locked in price structure that prevents -some- coming fee increases that were scheduled for next month.

But this is the toughest set of calls I've ever had to make with them. And long, very long. Going to make additional calls for at least some of the month compensated but they've successfully worn me down with almost 6 hours of phone time today.

The problem is they have successfully blocked this by permanently blocking customers once you initiate a chargeback. You can never go back and your address will be blacklisted.

Unfortunately playing the cable game requires keeping your options open because they are all scummy.

I was just calling about my intent to cancel in a week or so because they aren't beating Frontier's price for comparable internet.

I just wanted to know how to cancel, but they have decided to go back to the game and see if they can give a better off.

They actually kind of royally fucked us(As in, it took about 8 hours of phone calls and chat services to get our stuff fixed) with their retention offer last week, so I was going to cancel the internet out of spice. I am willing to hear them out for a better offer but it has been literally an hour and 20 now, they haven't given an offer, and they haven't given me the information to cancel.

Just a lot of sitting and holding.

They didn't fumble anything with that. That legimitately did not resonate with average people.

People were either convinced trans people were infiltrating womens sports or getting surgeries in schools or they did not give a fuck. There weren't many people outside those two camps.

There needed to be a way to automate the inputs. It was definitely not fun at that point.

For the record ended up going with an Ultra 7 265k for myself.

In part cause I was curious and in part because the more recent AMD X3D chips were either unavailable or very pricey. And while there were other comparable options in my price range(Around $350, paid $330) they had power draw numbers that were likely going to cost me more in the year.

If I was planning to run in 4k or something I'd probably hold out but I really just needed something fast to stop bottlenecking my 3070ti and wanted to move to a 1440p monitor(Moved up from an i7 7700k).

Fast and stable so far. I also maybe went a little crazy with my fan setup but its running real cool with just an air setup(Idle 28C, load maxes out about 58C).
