| Sad_Face 05/21/17 4:33:05 AM #38 | I finished the first act and one thing I do enjoy about the game is that it feels far more cohesive, from the dialogue to the gameplay, to how skills and other gameplay mechanics are implemented to even the supports taking place on the field and being aware that they're in the middle of a battlefield. One thing that sort of irked me in Fates was that when I'm playing Conquest, I could reclass into a traditional Hoshido class. It doesn't make sense that someone of the Nohrian army would have the garb and look of a Hoshido soldier. But it was a good gameplay element so I couldn't complain. In Echoes, what really impressed me was that in your hometown, you would find remnants that subtly hint at what your recruitable friends would be proficient at. Like you'd see scorch marks and Alm would think to himself "Oh, Kliff must have messed up a spell here" or you'd see arrows and he'd remark "Oh, he must have been practicing again". I'm an absolute sucker for seeing these gameplay elements pop up as story elements even if they're little details so I already hold this game in high regards. Terra-enforcer posted... ~8 is not negative by any means. You seem to be exaggerating a bit there lol. Now I have to ask people to repeat themselves half the time to make sure I understood them correctly. I would hear something, but then doubt that what I heard was correct, only to realize I did interpret it correctly. I don't think the Switch will end up having that much non-gamer fans because people get scared of unfamiliar button schemes. My mom played cuz she initially felt bad for me cuz of my freaking sister, but yeah she ended up getting pretty addicted. Except the first time she picked it up, she had no idea what was what or what's this and that, and I had to explain the same thing like 5 times. I still have trouble accepting this. When I played 3D Land, I got so annoyed with how easy and simplistic it is, but at the same time I have remember that there needs to be games that newcomers to the industry can play. Working out and knowing martial arts isn't going to help you out when you're going up against people who shoot fire out of their hands or have super strength. He spent his time researching all the heroes and villains instead so that he'd know their strengths and weaknesses inside and out. Why not both? You'd know their strengths in and out, so why not have the physical condition and ability to take advantage of the ones who you can take advantage without a super power? Not everyone has Bakugo's tier of a quirk, and he still can be knocked out with a lucky punch. | Sad_Face 05/18/17 12:05:26 PM #5 | I'm playing through it now with a couple hours in. One thing that I really like about it is that it feels cohesive. The music is splendid, the art style is finally back to fitting FE while looking quite classy, the dialogue is better, and the skirmishes feel more realistic. Yes, it's on flat areas, but the you're expected to take advantage of the terrain to gain the edge against the enemies. In contrast, Conquest had some intricate and interesting maps, but sometimes, they just didn't make any sense. Where would you find a place that houses a ton of pots with both poison and medicine in them lying around and unmarked? And I especially like how Archers can counterattack and hit from a 3 range distance. It makes for dangerous threats. I also like Mila's Turnwheel, if you make a mistake, you can turn back time to go back to any previous turn. You can use it a limited amount of times, but it pretty much ensures that rogue critical hits won't be the death of your run. Well, the story's and lore was built around the concept in a meaningful manner from the first chapter. I can assure you, from the perspective of an up to date manga reader, the show wouldn't be anywhere near as good without it. Spidey5 posted... Season 2 is good stuff, but unfortunately season 3 is going to be nothing but the Uprising saga. And as was mentioned before, that shit is really bad... like... season 3 is legitimately going to be painful to watch. Aside from Dude, I thought the 2 most boring chapters in the series were the chapters when Sasha went back to the home town to evacuate the villagers and when Connie went back to his hometown. Season 2 masterfully adapted those 2 chapters. Hannah said she's hated herself immensely during her skinny years as she HATED her body and didn't love herself and didn't make her happy. She went to the gym to get healthy so she can live longer but not for the actual "weight loss". She starved herself for years until finally she had a charge of heart with her body and her eating habits as she still worked out but she ate more than usual so she can gain more weight!! Then I forgot about the set time (thinking it was an hour later) and we rescheduled again. Then finally, I was prepared, they were prepared and online, but when the time came to start the interview, I had my face glued to the screen but too terrified to call them to start the interview. I ended making the call anyway, but I was so scared that I ended up hanging up on them before they could pick up. Then I sent an email asking if I should call or they should call.
